Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aurora - Naperville by IHG — Hotel in Aurora Township

This was recently renovated and became and IHG property.

The rooms are modern and have plenty of outlets and USB charging stations, which is a plus. There is a pool and hot tub, and the common areas downstairs are well laid out. Everything was clean and staff were friendly and helpful.

The location is great if you are going to the Two Brothers Roundhouse next door or doing things downtown,or perhaps seeing a play at the Paramount Theater or going to the Casino. The Metra is a stones throw away and also convenient.

However if you are wanting to get onto the interstate or do other shopping, you will have to drive a little through town to get there. Its not very far but just is not a location right off the Interstate.

Our rating for this hotel would have been 5 stars , but we ran into an issue because of a lack of guest laundry. The problems that caused for our family during a 9 day stay caused stress and inconvenience and took away from the positive experience and impacted our rating . We had initially been told by the IHG reservation line there was guest laundry. This was the only real negative aspect of the stay for us.

I don’t typically leave bad reviews. My fiance stayed at this hotel 8/16/25 on the third floor in this suite that can sleep six people. Unfortunately due the storm the hotel lost power at night, and well into the morning(tried calling after 12pm, lines were still down. Received Verizon Error message when we called) With the power going out he was unable to use the elevator to get all his luggage from his room down to his vehicle(no help was offered when he was taking multiple trips on the stairs and walking past the front desk)couldn’t charge any of his electronics, and there was no air-conditioning. He ended up having to leave early. I called to see if there is any type of compensation, example there was reasonable voucher or some type of refund, anything and they told me no that if this is considered an act of God. I understand no one can control a storm, but that just seems like poor customer service considering the entire hotel was completely booked. This hotel is super clean, very organized, and has a wonderfuli staff. There were several staff members at the front desk upon check-in, and all of them were so friendly… We were talking and laughing as I was checking in and it was just such a nice, personalized experience. It was a great way to start my day! The next morning, I came downstairs to a breakfast room that was very clean and incredibly organized. I have never seen butter, cream cheese, jelly, and peanut butter all stacked so neatly as I did at this place. Everything was well stocked and looked very nice. What I really appreciated most was that the breakfast was open at 6 AM on Sunday morning… I'm not sure if these are standard hours, but many times when I'm staying at a hotel that offers breakfast, the breakfast opens too late for me to take advantage as I always need to leave very early in the morning. I really appreciated having the opportunity to take advantage of the breakfast. The entire hotel looked like it was brand-new, and the room was very nice.
