I would stay clear of this store, I will not be returning. Horrible customer service and they sent me home with missing equipment! After spending $500!
My girlfriend and myself are in the season of getting all new gear. We have been to the Lone Tree Epic, Evo and REI all with a great experience. However, this one was an absolute horrible experience on all levels.
We came to this location because the Lone Tree location was out of stock of the board and bindings we wanted. We made the 30 min drive and immediately we were met with a bad attitude and little help. Given that we were set on a package set up we knew what we wanted, we asked to test it out to make sure we didn’t have overhang in the board and that the boots fit the bindings size. (Pretty normal request before buying a new snowboard).
When we asked Jarel to help us set it up so we could make sure the boots and bindings fit properly, he was extremely curt as he responded with:
“Well, are you gonna buy it” “I’m not gonna set it up unless you do”
All while you can barely hear with the blasting metal music in the background.
I am well aware these guys get commission so you’d think he would have been a bit more friendly - especially since there was no one else in the snowboard section and he was about to make the easiest sale of the month.
After slamming everything on the table upset that he had to help us and rushing us out the door (it was 1pm btw), the real kicker was the surprise when we got home.
We went to set up the board and it’s missing the base plate and bolts on the brand new bindings!!! That we just paid $500 for….
This was the night before going on our snowboarding trip so obviously it put us in a really tough position.
In addition, we tried to buy a new Burton pullover and Bob at the front had the same attitude. I asked if they could briefly remove the security tag that prevents you from trying on the clothing for me to double check the sizing while standing right next to the counter. He replied that they won’t take the security tag off until you buy it. How am I supposed to spend another $350 on something I am unsure will fit? Ridiculous. He never came back to assist us either.
You think you’d get better customer service when you’re trying to spend over $1000 dollars in new equipment.
We ended up putting everything back but the board since no one else had it in town and got the heck out of the store.
Save yourself the trouble, go to Evo - they’ll get you set up with a...
Read moreI stopped at Epic Mountain Sports last Friday in Aurora, CO because I finally gave up on my custom SF ski boots (leaving company name out). I met Jeremy and after about 45 minutes of him dedicating time to helping me, he likely changed my skiing ability in all facets(enjoyment, skill, performance, instructing,…) from last week going forward. You can read on but essentially any friends, clients, and family anyone that I meet on the mountain or run into in the street I am sending them to Jeremy.
So here was my issue. I had my custom SF boots for a few years— they were definitely an improvement on whatever boots I had prior. BUT for all the promise and cost, they really never solved my main problem…that about 1/2 to 2/3rds of the way through my day my foot or feet would go numb or be so painful I’d stop altogether or switch to riding.
I have wide feet so spending the money with SF seemed like the best move. But I continued to experience issues. I go to Epic Mountain Sports, meet Jeremy, and life it’s like a whole new experience, and I’ve been skiing and snowboarding for over 20 years.
What’s even better about my experience is that I inquired about new technology and more expensive options, but Jeremy focused on finding the best boots for me, not just the highest priced. He knew everything about the newest technology and explained it all to me, took the time to show me the different types. Let me try them on, seemingly knowing exactly which one would be the right one at the end. And he was right, and I left without a doubt in my mind that I got the right boot at the right price because she was actually committed to making sure that I walked out of there and got on the mountain and had a great time. With Jeremy I got the perfect boots and skied the last two weekends without any pain for the first time in a decade.
Like I said, I can’t recommend going to Epic Mountain Sports and especially going to see Jeremy in Aurora, CO. Even if you think you’re getting by okay. Trust me, it’s...
Read moreHorrible Customer Service Ever, would not recommend them for their ccustomer service and they lost my bussiness for their grest selection! I went and got my boards waxed here after shopping for a new board here for my bf before christmas, and they had a week to do them. I showed up even later then when they said they were done but my bfs wasn't done and both came back with the thinnest layer of wax I have ever seen and the edges not waxed at all with MORE scratches in them! I pointed it out to the associate and he called the manager Eric. Eric said this is the service you paid for with our machine wax. I even pointed out to him were extra scratches were. he said he would give me a refund and walked me to the front of the store he asked me to sign the sheet saying I was satisfied. I refused because I wasn't! he then grabbed my boards walked me out of the store and said I need to leave and I'm never allowed there AGAIN! He then let go of my boards and said he wasn't giving me a refund. when I got home my bf called up Eric and he was so rude he put him on hold in the middle of his sentence then hung up on him. he called back and Eric literally said IM GOING TO PAY THIS PROBLEM TO GO AWAY and that's the only reason I'm going to give you a refund. we didn't even want a refund we wanted the job done right. I called up the distracted manager Randy and he said he will ask Eric to find out what happened. after leaving 3 messages and talking to him that on time 2months later i still did not hear a call back from him. Worst customer service ever! I say that because even when I was shopping for a board form them, there was only one person in each department and lines to talk to them. At least I knew enough of what I wanted and picked it out myself. Only good thing about this store is...
