I went to Shintoburi for their fantastic kimchi next door as usual, and found they had expanded into Seoul Station. And WHAT??? This store is so unique and awesome -- am I in a Korean convenience store by the Han River?! Or at Gangnam Station? Am I a K-pop demon hunter eating ramen? It feels like I should sing Golden out loud here.
They’ve got interesting Asian snacks, lots of Korean kids’ gadgets and toys, and other fun Korean items. I really enjoy casually eating instant ramen bowls here, it’s definitely an experience. Comparing the HMart behind it, the store was a cute gem with some brands and items not available at its bigger neighbor. The place used to be a traditional Korean rice cake, kimchi and side dish restaurant and these were still available for dine in, take out or ready to go on fridge shelves.
