10 months ago, I rated this location a 5 star and below describe why, however since then, I have encountered a assistant manager issue.
Current review - I am giving this location 2 star only because the lady manager ( not Theresa) was resilience. However, prior to her, Theresa approached the issue imperfect. All I wanted to do is exchange/ change out a product that was defective and missing parts. They did not have the product in stock or available to order online as they were out of stock. So, I settled for a similar product. When exchanging it out, they informed me the sales price is the same but the original price is not and the product I had Cody $20.00 more than the defective product I had at hand. I informed them I want the product I original had however they were out of stock ( not my problem) and I shouldn't have to pay extra sure to their inventory issues. I called another location ( they were familiar with the defective and missing part issue) while at this location and relaying all the information Theresa was stating since there's seemed to be confusion. Theresa then responded ( in front of many guest/ customer) if I am going to continue the call with the other location and not let her handle it, she was not going to assist me. I was floored/appalled. I then could not hold back as I felt belittle. I asked for her manager. She grab her device and went on to get her. I expressed my concerns to the manager of how I was treated if front of several guest/ customer and how I felt embarrassment. She apologized and went on to serve me. At the end of the day, I left with the exchanged product and paying $.40 more. I am only giving this location a 2 due to the manager at the end handling the issue as after 1hr later. Theresa was not professional and lashes out on an issue I had no control over. I would like to speak with someone in higher management. I look forward to hearing from kolhs management team.

Read moreI was just at this location 20 minutes ago. As this location is 2 stories, there is an escalator to move between floors. This lady decided to be in the wrong and take her cart up the escalator, which there was a sign that stated not to do that. She was on the escalator going up to the second floor and ended up falling down, face first. However, during the entire time that the OTHER CUSTOMERS were trying to help the lady and stop the escalator. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE WENT TO HELP HER. While 5 CUSTOMERS did. Only after we got the lady standing did any employees come over. However, none stayed long or helped after the fact. Also, one employee decided to snidely say “she shouldn’t have taken the cart up there.” While we are aware of that statement now, it was not needed by an employee. The customer that pushed the emergency stop to get the escalator commented to the employee that the emergency stop was confusing. There was a plastic covering over the emergency stop which could be confusing in the heat of the moment. The lady was slamming her hand over the button, and it wasn’t doing anything due to the plastic. This same employee then said “you are supposed to hold the button down.” If you are aware of the proper procedures, then why were you not helping? During the entire accident the lady’s cart was on top of the escalator sitting there. At any point that cart could have fallen and taken us all out with it. There were 2 employees standing on top of the escalator and they did nothing. While one of the customers that got the lady, who the cart belonged to, standing THAT CUSTOMER went up the escalator to grab the cart. It is completely unacceptable that all 10 employees that were standing around did nothing to help the situation. No matter if the lady with the cart was in the wrong. Read moreI generally love this store, but today I made the mistake of going into the Sephora located inside. The young lady who was helping me, just stopped assisting me and went to help someone else who walked up and asked for something. Now this in itself wasn't a problem as I could see they were shorthanded compared to the amount of customers present. What I took issue with was the way it was done. I patiently waited in line to get some assistance, but I had to wait some again for someone who came up well after me? What kind of service is this? What should have happened was the person who walked up after me, should have been told she will be helped once she was done with me! To just walk off without completing my request to go and assist someone else was very UNPROFESSIONAL. I would have felt better about it if I had been acknowledged with "Let me get this for her right quick and I'll go check for you." Needless to say, Sephora didn't value me as a customer nor did they want my money, but my money is green like everyone who shops there! I will always give Kohl's 5 stars, as it's one of my favorite stores.
