I had a horrible experience when it came to customer service. The staff is extremely rude and has attitude.
First of all, as an owner, hire more mature staff that are at least professional, and don't have attitude. When I was asking one of the girls, how much we get back when we sell our clothes, I was told 40%, of sale price only to later be told, "Oh, its only 20-30% of the retail price, who told you 40%?" . Don't give me MIXED messages and hire people that are knowledgeable and know what they are talking about so customers don't leave angry and confused! Also, when I asked a few other questions, like what type of items do they accept and all, I was given curt, hasty responses. No friendliness, no smiles, rather sighs and tone in respoinding to me.
Moreover, I brought in a bag of barely used clothing, shoes, and three purses that were very similar to things they had on their racks. They only took one item from me - one purse which still had tags on it- which I got a lousy $5 for! And I know they will over-price the item when they put it on the shelves. So its dishonest to give me a lot lower price for a brand new item!
At this point, I'm really upset and I called customer service after leaving (as I knew it was useless talking to those teens), and was told by the owner of the store number, that she will get back to me with a "reason". When finally I got a call back, I was told the reasoning for not accepting my other stuff was the staff girls deemed them "dated" or un-fashionable. So, I'm actually pretty trendy and get told a lot by others, and my stuff was VERY similar to the ones they had on the rack, so to be told all that, is degrading and wrong. So the owner, who I was speaking to on phone, told me I could get a $10 gift card for the hassle, and have my stuff "re-evaluated" because the "girls there are young", "need more training" and they are rejecting a lot of people's items because they are getting overwhelmed with too many things. That doesn't make sense though!!! Wouldn't you, as a store, want as many things as possible to make the most revenue as possible? And then just return the items to the owners if they don't sell after the season is over. At least that would help you out as a business!!! I found it degrading to go back in to get my stuff re-evaluated, so I just took the $10 gift card. The teenager behind the counter said, "would you like your stuff re-evaluated again" (the owner I believe had given her a 'talking to' before I came in). However, I responded, "I really don't want to", and left. I will be using that gift card, and never again coming back after that.
DO listen to the other reviews where people are saying, the staff make snarky remarks about your clothes. The staff are immature, rude, girls who need to be replaced, or at least heavily trained with competitive customer service skills w/ other...

5:40 pm I walked in and the employee told me it would take 15 minutes to sort through my things.
6:00 pm one of the girls is clocking out and she asks all the other girls to walk her to her car so the store is left with no employees.
6:20 pm I interrupted the cashier Emily from using her phone. I asked her if I can buy a skirt since they were not done sorting through my stuff yet (40 minutes after walking in) Emily said to give her 15 more minutes! I stood near the register hoping that would make Emily feel rushed and finish a little quicker sorting through my things.
6:30 pm I hear Emily talking to a young boy around her age about his brotherâs birthday, and him being there to be her emotional support.
6:40 pm I go back up the the register. I decide to buy the skirt to put her to work instead of listening to her conversation with the boy.
6:45 pm Emily says that my stuff has been sorted through and I can get $22 cash or $54 in store credit so I said okay return my skirt and charge it on the store credit but she canât because of their return policy.
I did not walk out with extra cash instead I walked out at 6:45 pm due to all the nonsense going on in this store. They need a manager in there putting them to work. I am very patient but it went from a 15 minute store visit to 1 hour and 5 minutes watching the girls who work there not work. I spent $32 and made $22 cash because I had to act like Emilyâs manager and get her attention to get back to work every 10 minutes. RIDICULOUS. I have never been into one of these stores but I tried to take my prom dress and she didnt even look at the item that well. When she said she wouldnt take it I asked why, well its too old. Funny when I walked out there were SEVERAL that were very similar to mine. Im not worried about the money if someone can get use out of I would rather have that than sit in my closet. Also I asked if they dont take it do they know of a donation place to help, she said she did she couldn't think of the name. After not taking it I asked about that place for underprivileged kids, "oh I asked several coworkers and I cant remember". When i was standing there not once was she talking to someone else and after evaluation she couldnt look me in the eyes and was stuttering. You know im glad you guys didnt take my dress i would love for someone to have it for free rather than give you the revenue. This was my first experience and it will be my last. I will never recommend nor go in again, considering I love consignment stores for my baby I will not use this one when shes older! Awful...
