On June 10 at 8 PM while the store was closing and I was being rushed to leave I purchased a pair of Nike tech pants and the markings showed that it was an XL. After getting them home, I realized that they were a 3x, the stitching was coming out and couldn’t understand how I ended up with a pair of 3X pants. today June 11, I came first thing in the morning to exchange them for the right size. I was told that all sales are final here and they couldn’t give me the correct size because their computers cannot do anything inbound to which I pointed out the sign on the door that reads they do warranty exchanges. I was told to call Nike customer service, I was told by the customer service rep that “ it is a Nike clearance store so we don’t do any exchanges or any warranties or anything” I told the representative that I was told to give them a call and pointed out that there are signs on each of the doors in that says they do warranty exchanges. I was told “ you need to go back and speak with them because I can’t do anything and they need to take those signs down because that’s not true true” after asking to speak to a manager, he followed that up with “ she’s just going to tell you the same thing”. After stopping this back-and-forth and telling the rep that it is not his job to tell me what his manager is going to say I was put on a 10 minute hold and she got on the line and I was given a really long process. I have to go through, but it can be taken care of.
I went back to the store so that my size didn’t sell out because this was a great deal and I already bought the top for this tech , which if you know, Nike is pretty expensive. 240 brand new. I kicked out my pants and took them back to the register and the cashier seeing what I went through before actually looked at the tag that was actually on the pants and realize that they were marked wrong! So with that being said, it almost happened to me again and I could’ve walked away from the register realized and turned around and they would’ve told me that I was SOL again!
Approach to their sales are final at this particular store is horrendous! Nowhere on this earth should they be able to miss label pants, sell them to me and turn right around and tell me oops sorry we can’t do anything. I spend thousands with Nike every year and I am floored that they would have these horrible policies in place for their clearance stores. I understand the final sale, but this isn’t a refund that is being requested, it is an exchange because of an error on their employees part and screws over us customers, and the biggest issue that I have with all of this is that they treat this clearance store as if they don’t care that their employees are mismanaging things and have nothing in place for the customer shopping here which is probably 80+ percent minorities. This would never be the case anywhere else where Nike would put its name! The people with no voice have to deal with something like this! I think Nike needs to update this policy expeditiously and think about how while not on purpose this is Systemic targeting of minorities for financial gain!
Lastly, I’d like to add the fact that I was told today by one of thousands of employees that a whole store needs to take down signs because they are essentially fake, but have obviously been sent to them with the Nike swoosh to false advertise to its customer base because I don’t think anybody would shop anywhere where they would be told we’re not going to do anything if you put on your shoe and the sole falls off. But again, this doesn’t really seem to be a concern at their “clearance store “.
I had to hit edit and add a comment and a screenshot because the first two reviews that I see show that people end up with really low quality or damaged items and simple exchanges are not possible. Which further tells me that this “Clarence store“ is here to get rid of the things in the lower end communities and tell them...
Read moreNot sure what the difference is between a clearance store and an outlet store? First things first. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Now that's out the way, went on opening day, and there was a wide selection of Men's and kids merchandise. Not a large selection of women's but good enough, and there is a plus sized women's rack (just a rack).
The store was well stocked when I got there, but a lot of good things were flying off the shelves the longer I shopped (as expected). "Sneakerheads" were raiding the shelves of anything worth money, so there's that. I hope they're able to keep the floors replenished going into the Holiday season, but overall there was a good selection of merchandise.
There were a few Tshirts, kids gear and women's hoodies for $9.99 but the average price point for merch is between $19.99-$39.99. Shoes range from about $24.99-$99. I was able to snag me a pair of women's AF1s for about $49, but that was very limited. It's well below the price I was planning on paying on their main Nike website a few weeks ago. Almost by half. So I'm good with that. We did end up spending about $450 in the store. (That's about 3 pairs of shoes, 10 hoodies/jackets and 2 pairs of pants)
The staff was friendly, but not very helpful. Their go-to phrases were either "I don't know" or everything is out on the floor. Which was also not truthful cause they kept bringing out tons of merchandise and shoes from the back stock room as I shopped. Shopping there is just really a matter of luck with timing.
They do random shoe drops throughout the week, but unfortunately, you don't know which shoe, or what time.
Overall a good experience, but if you've shopped in a Nike outlet store before it's the same experience. I just love that this location is...
Read moreResellers line up at the door with camping chairs 30 min before the store opens. Blue and all of the young African American men were top tier with customer service. They were polite, helpful and engaging. The women in this store are the WORST retail employees I have EVER encountered. They’re rude, dismissive and have poor attitudes. The long blonde hair girl at the registered ROLLED HER EYES at me and the young African American girl with short curly hair and glasses was talking about me behind the register. This isn’t high school, you’re at WORK, act like it. I would never enter those doors again if it wasn’t for gentleman like Blue and his male counterparts. I was carrying 15 pair of shoes along with other merchandise and was scolded not to set the bags down (THEY WERE HEAVY!) or they would put them away. Get some carts or baskets with wheels so people aren’t breaking their arms carrying loads of stuff. Weird that you can’t try shoes on and...
