Firehouse Subs Cornerstar — Restaurant in Aurora

I'm so sad! We had a service to go to and went out for lunch after. The employees were wonderful and very quick, although from experience I know that doorbell greeting gradually erodes your soul so stop forcing them to do that, please. No one is genuinely that excited to make sandwiches. Anyways, it was a rough day and I've always loved this place previously. The location I used to frequent went downhill drastically so I was skeptical but it's hard to agree on a place to eat so in we went. Our food was tasty, the same amount of insanely messy as always, we went our separate ways. A few hours later, I'm sick as a dog. I text my buddy, find out they were woken up that night also sicker than all. Did we get food poisoning from this location, or is my body just not used to eating food like this anymore? Pretty strange for us both to be sick after the same meal - and again after the leftovers (I mean, why not test it and see, right?). So, TL; DR - nice place, food quality felt the same but potential food poisoning? Sad. Not going to return, my insides...

Made an order online for 2 Specialty Hot Sandwiches I understand perfectly by the time I get them theu likely won't be hot but they'll still be toasted. Neither one was toasted. I also ordered extra bacon on them. Neither had it. Super disappointed. I don't come here often but the last few times I had and didn't leave an updated review it's always something. Either out of something, online orders take priority over in person and now hot subs don't mean hot/toasted. Please fix this. I love Firehouse just not the last few times

5 star review a year ago....Great food and service. Came to firehouse over the weekend. Was greeted by Rod who was polite, friendly and a joy to talk with. Recently moved to the area and am grateful for the kind interaction by this young man and the continued kindness of the staff at...

So Firehouse Subs are supposedly prideful on their sub making ability, compared to competitors, this one is a fail! All the meat was shoved into the middle; my add on for the TBR was 5 pcs of banana peppers, shoved into the middle. Half the bacon was underneath the bread! And yet both sandwiches were soggy? (TBR and an Italian) The ends of the sandwiches were obviously dried out because of the complete lack of spreading out ingredients, just condiments, and just not GAF from the staff. 2 people, 1 with long hair who couldn't even be bothered to put it in a pony tail, and yes I did find a hair that didn't match my family's....luckily not in the actual food, just in the bag. Once we redistributed the ingredients they were tasty but what a hassle! The Southland location wasn't convenient for today but I should have gone there instead; their employees have more pride in their product/job.
