Disrespectful, rude, condescending, passive-aggressive!!! I left feeling mortified!!! The ridiculousness of "store manager" Tracy's behavior was taken to a whole new level, astounding!!! We drove over an hour to shop at the Oriental store at the Aurora Mall. They have great merchandise, and we thought it was worth the drive. Our son who has been collecting swords, asked for one for Christmas. Our first trip there was great customer service top notch, we spent almost $250 in one stop. Also during the same shopping visit I purchased a beautiful glass pendulum for my niece, from the Oriental store in the Aurora Mall. When we arrived home late that night and I began to organize all the gifts I purchased form the Oriental store at the Aurora Mall. Upon unpacking the bag that The Glass pendulum was in I discovered it was broken. Our kind and amazing salesperson had put the wooden katana wall display wooden unit, heavy and wooden in the same bag. THE PENDEMIM ACCIDENTALLY BROKE. The next morning, I called at opening and explained my situation. I have the "pleasure" of dealing with Tracy, who explained it must have been my fault they would give me 50% off of a new one. I explain to Tracy I didn't feel that that was fair and that the accident happened from the salesman putting something too heavy in the same bag. The glass pendulum was wrapped in a tiny cellophane bag, with no added protection at all. Tracy explained she needed to call me back and speak to someone else I waited for her call back when she called back she was extremely rude and disrespectful, snapping at me and making snide comments. Needing to replace my niece's gift, I made the over hour journey yet again to replace this glass pendulum gift. Upon entering the store it was like a whole new world I was greeted with such a disrespect. I went to the glass case to select a new pendulum, Tracy had removed every last glass pendulum that was there the day prior, there were more to choose from than I could count the day before. I was forced to pick a crystal pendulum that I had not even been looking at in the first place. I handed Tracy the pendulum and she began to wrap the pendulum in over six pieces of bubble wrap and then tape over and over and over again. To the point of I had difficulty getting back into this package To safely get the Crystal pendulum out. I spoke up and asked that she please stop and just give me my purchase as I was late to a Christmas party she continued to state to me I'm just making it safe for you, I'm making sure it's wrapped nice and tight, I'm making sure it gets home safe with you. OVER AND OVER AND OVER explaining to her it's Crystal not even glass there's no worries with this one it's not going to break. I explain to her I needed to go and if I could please have my replaced purchase I was late for a Christmas party. Tracy would not hand it to me she continued to wrap it in bubble wrap and tape it, as if she didn't hear me. Honestly I believe she is quite imbalanced! Her behavior from one day to the next was quite erratic! I asked again, and again can I please have my purchase I need to go and I explained to her this is ridiculous to treat me this way I had done nothing wrong. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE MANAGER TRACY, STORE MANAGER BEHAVED TO SUCH A EMBARRASSING AND IMMATURE LEVEL!!! We will never shop there again!! In the end I loose out, I now have a basic Crystal pendulum, not the beautiful glass pendulum, I special selected for my niece. My heart is saddened Tracy felt the need to attempt to make me feel like a thief that was trying to get something for free. Tracy I chose to not let you wreck my day, in any way shape or form. I actually left laughing out loud at your childish behavior! TRACY please work on youself, your attitude, your customers service skills, and your demeanor. Your math is about as good as your customer service skills. You think because I am older and have white skin it is ok to treat me like a thief. I was very kind and considerate as I explained my situation to you that morning. I thanked you multiple times and you hung up on me. I had to call your store back to get your name. I was nothing but polite when I came back to replace my broken product. You choose to escalate the situation, as you continuously, bubble wrapped and taped a crystal pendulum, I at no point asked you to wrap it for me. I brought a box with me perfect for transporting. And yes you did educate us on Pokémon cards the day of the original purchase. The day of the return, I even acknowledged out loud. I got it! Point taken! I highly recommend customer service and diversity traded for this establishment as I have been looking through your reviews, and it appears you’ve lost multiple customers due to your racist behavior. We’re all surviving in this world together would have killed you to be kind and understanding? Perhaps it’s too hard for you to see past all those dollar signs. I was able to locate some glass pendulum on Amazon much better quality and for less money most definitely not sitting at a 200% markup. We found a poster that was $12 that was on the sticker price once we were ready to buy the woman who was taking care of us (Asian) charged us $15.99 of course I noticed so I told the woman . She apologized & Smile nervously after the other employee behind her confirmed it was $12.99 . she fixed it on the computer she tried to have a friendly conversation with us as she was still apologizing and giggling. She said “sorry I cheated “ “ sorry for charging extra” and so we paid, we used card as payment method but apparently the payment didn’t go through because she said “the WiFi is bad “ “ try again” and we end up inserting the payment card again. Guess what ? We paid twice. So it was the most expensive Asian Poster I have ever bought for a Christmas gift. so whatever keep the money it’s too unfortunate that you guys are Scams and y’all wanted to risk y'all reputation for $26 now you guys will be known for that. We will never be back again and I will never recommend this store to anybody.
