I was really excited to eat here! However, when we walked in and we couldn't even hear the hostess, we should have known it was going to be a rough night. Like I said, we couldn't hear what the hostess was saying. So when we finally understood that she was asking how many in our party, we said 3 and she only brought us 2 menus. Weird, but we figured it was due to the loud music. Fine. Next, when we ordered drinks my husband asked to have the house red, and my friend and I asked for the house sake. The sake was no problem and it came in a cute bottle with a handle (Genius). But the server had to come back and tell us there is no house red and he would have to pick one. Ok, whatever. Not a big deal, he has just had good luck with amazing wines when he orders the house favorite. We ordered the appetizer that had 6 so that we could try a bunch of things. That came out relatively fast, and was good, but that was the last thing that was fast. We had to wave down our server to order the next round of food. I understand that they are busy and new so things might be a little hectic, but it gets weird. We ordered a bunch of things like the potato cakes, kimchi, rice, etc. So when most of the food came out we were happy. I did notice that the 4 piece potato cakes we ordered came with 2! I showed the server that the menu says 4 and he said let me talk to the kitchen. He came back and said the manager told me the menu is wrong. (Confused look) I said well that is not what I thought I was getting and would like the 4 piece I ordered. He talked to the manager again and we got the other two. They also didn't bring out the kimchi with the rest of the food. We had to ask 3 times for them to finally bring it out. We were not even offered dessert, which I always get. We again had to flag someone down to get the check and flag them down to pay. We left super underwhelmed and talking like David from Schitts Creek asking for the...

I had the worst dining experience at this restaurant. It took forever for our server to even acknowledge us, and once they finally did, they barely came back to check on us. The most frustrating part? They forgot some of my food. I was patient, but by the time I left, I was incredibly disappointed.
Then, a couple of weeks later, I checked my receipt and discovered they added a $20 tip instead of the $13 I had clearly written. This is completely fraudulent. When I called to address the issue, the manager claimed it was a mistake because they have "so many checks a night and can mix them up." This is just false. We arrived on a Wednesday at 5 PM, and there wasn't another table seated in sight.
I’ve worked in and managed restaurants, so I know how the system works. You close checks as people leave, and you’re literally staring at the receipt when you enter the tip into the POS system. This "mistake" was clearly intentional and absolutely fraudulent, and the manager's dismissive attitude just made things worse. Rather than saying she would have a serious conversation with the server to ensure it doesn’t happen again, she doubled down on her terrible excuse and then belittled me saying “if you really did work in restaurants, you would know this happens.” No, no it does not if you have honest staff and management. The manager refunded my tip (as they should because this is completely unacceptable), but she didn’t even process it correctly, so she had to Zelle me the rest.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Between the awful service and the shady practices of entering a higher tip amount, this place is not worth your time or money. If you do decide to not heed my warning, make sure to save your receipt and double check your...
Read moreAnother find thanks to Tik Tok!! Had dinner here with my boyfriend Saturday night (made reservations to be safe however they didn’t seem to be needed as the place was not as busy as I thought it would be) I also spent some time looking at more tik tok videos and reviews for food recommendations. We enjoyed the dinner and service over all. The atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed and romantic all at the same time. For Drinks we order the Lychee Fresh, Japanese Old Fashion, Kurobuta Sour extra sweet and the Expresso Martini. (We love our drinks I know) my favorite was the Lychee fresh for sure. It was that (fresh) cute looking and sweet. I was not a fan of the Espresso Martini nor the Japanese Old Fashion so next time we for sure have to try other drinks. I wanted to try the Miso soup so I ordered that and honestly I would just skip it. For appetizers and dinner we ordered the Jalapeño Hamachi, Salmon Nigiri, Baked Salmon Roll, Fire Cracker Roll, the Yaki Ika and pork belly and shrimp skewers. My favorite was the Jalapeño Hamachi it was so fresh and the citrus was perfect! I also really liked the Yaki Ika but I would have preferred a different sauce (something more on the citrusy/salty side than sweeter) The Baked Salmon roll was really good. (I was hopeful as usually a baked salmon roll is yummy and creamy) Now everything did come out all at different times and for a min we thought we weren’t getting the Yaki Ika but we didn’t mind much as we had time to take pictures and try everything as it was coming out. I also got some Mochi to go and I ate some on the way home and some later that night and it was okay- nothing special so I can skip that next time. I would love to go back for another...
