Now rolling in Aurora.
After trying Milkroll down on Colfax, I had been waiting for a closer location. After a little bit of a delay, Milkroll Aurora is finally open!
Milkroll is a Thai rolled ice cream shop that offers various ice cream bases including basics like chocolate, original, matcha, and fun flavors like thai tea, vietnamese coffee, pandan, and charcoal. The base flavor is mixed with a mix-in such as fruit or cookies and topped with candy, cereal, cookies, fruit, whipped cream, mochi, or other fun toppings. There are plenty of awesome house creations, but if you're feeling creative you can make your own.The consistency of the thai rolled ice cream is creamy and smooth, and there's a lot of options for customization if you're making your own.
They offer three different sizes: a mini, basic, and a large. The mini is really nice if you're feeling like ice cream, but don't want too much. Milkroll also offers a few drinks including Thai tea and Green Thai tea.
I had the panda pandan creation at the new location which is pandan ice cream with coconut jelly and coconut mixed in. Toppings include koala cookies, coconut jelly, coconut, mochi, and a pandan waffle. Normally, there is a condensed milk drizzle that goes on top, but I think they may have forgotten it this time because I requested no whipped cream. At Milkroll's other location, I have had the thai tea creation (I looove thai tea anything) and a thin mint cookie creation that was a special. Every month there are 2 new specials that rotate in.
Don't forget to grab...
Read moreThis was my first encounter and my visit was met with disappointment and frustration. Ladies working today (01/19) around 8:00PM had no customer service skills. When I came in, they offered no greeting and no "I'll be right with you". There was only two customers in front of me and I had to wait 30 minutes which made no sense as the people in front of me ordered two items each. It looked the staff was taking their sweet time. When it was my turn, they asked "what can I get for you". They offered no apology, "sorry about the wait". My order also took an unusually long wait of an additional 10 minutes. So I was waiting almost an hour at the store for some ice cream. The young lady called out my order but I didn't notice until a few calls as her voice was muffled and the music was loud. She slid the cup and proceeded to roll her eyes. No "thank you for waiting or anything". I'm not asking for people to be this bubbly person as I have worked in retail before and know how tiring some days can be. I'm asking for the bare minimum in asking your staff to treat customers with respect. The ice cream I got was panda pandan and it was very bland as it tasted like just pure milk. Maybe the customer service ruined my taste buds. Will not be returning anytime soon. There are plenty of other desserts places in that area that I would...
Read moreLet me start by saying the date so you know who exactly is treating customers this way. July 9th, 2024 @8:50pm. I went in tonight and got greeted by two girls who came up to the counter to take our orders, the interaction started off poorly they did not greet us or ask what we would like to order. They began to make our ice cream and still did not say anything to us, she did not ask if we wanted it to go or for there, so they began the last ice cream. I asked for a lid for it to go. The girl sets the lid on the counter and sets the ice cream there too, I ask her if she can put the lid on and she tells me no that it’s not her job, she said I did not ask for the order to go but she never asked me from the start, assuming we wanted it for there. She continues to argue with me as she goes to sit down. We leave to pull out of the parking lot and the other young lady with the bun flipped us off from inside while she sat down. I am very unimpressed with the professionalism of these employees and the way they are behaving towards customers, this place has always been a favorite of mine and I’m sad to see the employee atmosphere go down...
