Cool shop. Nice and clean. Mainly imported items so they are authentic stuff however the prices do reflect it.
It is a general store so they have items ranging from cleaning supplies, food, and some knick knacks for one piece and dbz.
I do find it odd that they have imported cleaning stuff (detergent, dishwashing etc...). Unless these are superior for a reason instead if going to hmart then I don't think those items will be high in demand. I think they should try to focus more retail space on things that give them advantage like skin care products (though they have some nice hair products I'll have to try) .
A little disappointed to see small selection on sunscreen as everyone knows eastern sunscreens (especially Japanese and Korean) products are VASTLY superior to the western products. It is still really convenient to find some products locally instead of having to order from Amazon and deal with the logistical nightmares (cheaper also oddly enough) . Also hmart doesn't carry any of the highly revered products so it is a big plus for the shop.
At least check...
Read moreI've been going to Ebisu for almost two and a half years. Although most of my experiences have ranged between 4 to 3 stars due to product availability and price, I believe that 2 stars is now warranted.
Ebisu is a specialty store so availability and consistency of products can definitely vary daily for the store. However, it seems that they are starting to transition into stocking Korean products. I personally have no issues with this but is Ebisu not a "Japanese" lifestyle store?
The funny thing is that H-Mart is literally right next door, has a much larger selection of Korean products, and for cheaper. Also why did Ebisu stop stocking black coffee? Y'all have like 8 types of coffee now and every single one has milk.
I get it. Ebisu is trying to mass appeal to what's new and hip but come on guys. Ebisu is the only Japanese speciality...
Read moreI stopped in this store to support my local community. I made a special trip. I looked at all the things. To be polite, I purchased some cookies and snacks. I also purchased a little novelty charm.
When I got home I found that the charm was broken when I opened the packaging. Ok so another trip to the store. Girl behind the counter would not exchange the charm. She said I must have broken it and no refunds. I said I just want to exchange it. She said no. We went back and forth. I was very surprised she didn't believe me. Also not being nice at all. This is not how a new shop should be. To build a new customer base, the customer is right. This was totally unacceptable. I grabbed a new charm and walked out. Another woman grabbed the girl and made the motion of just let him go. Im not coming back. Keep your $29.95...
