Surgery check in and waiting room. Interesting place. I like that the seats are spread out so you donāt have to be right on top of other people waiting. There are signs everywhere that say we clean often, but in the 8+ hours Iāve been here not once have the seats or tables been wiped down or disinfected. Iāve seen the manager ask people to wear their masks, which I appreciate, but this morning staff was much more on it than the afternoon staff. The morning staff would regularly get up come out from behind their counter and do things like disinfect the pens and greet people coming in.
Every single young girl is on their phone, particularly the one taking constant selfies right when people walk in to get checked in for surgery. Even with a mask sheās posing and flipping her hair for probably Snapchat or something⦠disappointing that the girl at the recovery counter was nose in her phone and I had to get her attention even after rolling a suitcase up to the counter and I know she could hear me coming if she was paying attention.
They could both get up, pick up trash, wipe tables and chairs down and straighten up the seats to make the end of the day in here look less disheveled. Just some thoughts and observations from someone who had been here all day and has to sit in a COVID environment and sees more effort put into cleaning at cost cutters let alone a giant hospital campus. Makes you wonder how other areas are cleaned when there are visitors literally camped out in one area.
Another staggering observation in general coming into the AIP main entrance of the building at 5:20 this morning is they asked the Covid-19 questions but DIDNāT CHECK OUR TEMPERATURES. Kind of threw us a off a little, you just believe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst possible case of mismanagement of humans ever experienced. No one knows anything, 10000 people working but one can clean a room within 4 hrs of coming out of post operation surgical recovery room. The hospital was at 98% capacity which means not enough beds for patients who need to stay over night for observation but the surgical schedule is overbooked as we had to wait 90 minutes after the scheduled time of surgery. The nurses know nothing and receive all the blame. The Drs have a pretentious attitude of being put off if they have to wait 3 mins for you come out of the bathroom after being stuck there for 8 hrs. they try and assign a room to the patient after 8 pm so the loved ones who have been in the waiting room 10 hrs are forced to leave without seeing the patient.. The administration seems to be treating people like a retail clerks selling shoes. They donāt seem care about the patients or the families but only trying to maximize profits. Iād avoid this place like the plague. Worst care ever experienced. I wouldnāt send a dead or sick rat here to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been treated here for about 3 years. I see Neurology and Neurosurgery. I've always had a great experience here. The doctors and staff have all been great. However yesterday I was there. I use a walker and was in a lot of pain. Their valet service is horrible to say the least!! We waited 20 minutes for our car!! I stood right next to the woman in charge. After 10 minutes I asked how long it was going to take. She said just a few minutes. We waited. She could see I was standing there with a walker. I told her I was in a lot of pain and couldn't stand much longer. She said just a few minutes again. Finally after waiting 20 minutes in asked again. Finally they brought my car. People who hadn't waited as long as we had were getting their cars ahead of us. I've never had that issue. The woman in charge was extremely uncaring about my situation. Making a person with a walker stand for 20 minutes is...
