Love free people. I’ve been shopping with them online for years. Better to shop online or in the app where you don’t have to deal with the employees following you all around the store like a hawk while you’re trying to shop and enjoy your weekend. It started from when we walked into the store, one of the employees looked at me and my husband and at every corner where we were browsing there she was at a distance. I picked up a pair of pants I bought at the end and she immediately came over and asked if I needed a fitting room. She then proceeded to fix items at a rack next to us. I went to the front to look at another pair of pants I wanted when we first walked inside. Decided to pick them up to purchase and there she was again. Anyway, I went in and I have some clothes that I would like to try on. The girl who works there was folding clothes, she looked up at me, saw that I have 3 blouses in my hands, and continued folding clothes, without asking me if I need a fitting room. I thought she was just tired, but she gave assistance to other people. A beautiful couple came in and the staff greeted them. The store had a popsicle giveaway, but I noticed the staff member at the front was only offering them to certain customers. While some patrons were greeted warmly and given popsicles without hesitation, others — myself included — were overlooked or met with dismissive behavior.
It left me feeling singled out and uncomfortable. A store that represents such a diverse city like Austin should make every guest feel welcome and valued. I hope management takes a closer look at how guests are being treated at this location so that everyone has the same...
