We chose to stay at Lone Star Court for our stay in Austin and we're so glad we did! We could've got a generic hotel, but we didn't want to feel stuck in our room. We were looking for a hotel with a home-y atmosphere where we could socialize and enjoy being outside in beautiful weather. Upon our arrival, the front desk process was super quick and they welcomed us with complimentary cold drinks. We didn't have to wait long at all. I can appreciate this after a long day of flying with kids. All the staff were very friendly and greeted us daily whenever we came and went. I loved the rustic exterior of the buildings. The grounds were frequently maintained and kept clean. There's plenty of landscaping and sitting areas you can enjoy throughout. We loved playing cornhole. It was too cool to use the pool, but it looked very nice. Every night there were fires lit, a water feature by the patio and heat lamps for cooler nights. The twinkle lights scattered in trees and above seating areas made it really enjoyable to sit outside in the evenings. The hotel is dog friendly and welcomes your fur babies. They have a sweet, friendly dog on the property. Our kids adored him. He always greeted us wagging his tail and wanted to play. Our room was cleaned and refreshed daily. I thought the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with q-tips, cotton pads, lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. So you don't have to worry about bringing some. Rooms come fully stocked with snacks and a full fridge of drinks at a cost. It's nice to have them there as an option if you didn't feel like going out. My one complaint was the bathroom tile. I thought it was black grout until I noticed the non high traffic areas had super light grey grout. So it was just really dirty grout. We wore sandals to walk around our room because the bottoms of our feet got dirty. They have live music every Thurs-Saturday in the evenings. We really enjoyed that. If you are coming here for peace and quiet, this may not be the place for you. Especially with the rooms all facing the court yard, sounds echo so it can get loud and you hear everything. We brought a sound machine along with us and slept just fine, so the noise outside didn't bother us like others have mentioned. We ate at the Water Through restaurant a few times for breakfast. The food was really good and portions were large. The servers were friendly and checked in with our table if we needed anything. There's also food trucks right outside the hotel gates for additional options. The hotel is in a perfect location right in the shopping Domain. So you can easily walk to almost everything without having to take a car. It's a nice, safe area we felt comfortable exploring even in the evenings. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back to the Lone Star Court in the future when we visit Austin again!

After a mix up with our booking at a nearby hotel, the hubby and I found this as a last minute deal. Super fun with a very Austin/Country vibe. I would recommend if you are with a bunch of friends or family. They have a lot of games and hangout space and they are pet friendly. What we liked: The staff was great! At check-in they verified that we wanted a room with two beds(guessing that last minute deal piled that). We of course did not, and they were able to find us a king bed. The room was clean and very cute. The whole location has the hip Austin feel to it. Live music was offered at the bar/restaurant. You receive complimentary drinks at check-in. I enjoyed a Main Root root beer and the hubby had water. The room had comfy bathrobes and a mini-bar. Bed was nice, not as firm as I like, but not too soft. Two rocking chairs outside the room in a porch-like setting. What we didn’t care for: No microwave in the room. No bathtub. The elevator was so hot it was almost hard to breath. Very muggy. The doors allowed lots of outside noise in. Because of the environment, there were loud people out in the courtyard until 1:00. I was watching tv so it didn’t bother me, but just an FYI. Because they are pet friendly, that means barking dogs as well. Luckily the owners of the dogs didn’t allow them to bark for too long, but not somewhere to go for a nice peaceful getaway. Definitely plan to go when you want to chill out and sit in the rockers , play corn hole, shop the Domain and hang in the bar. We would definitely stay here again, maybe with friends or family to enjoy the whole experience.

Great hotel if you enjoy breathing wood smoke instead of air.

I feel bad writing this review, as the staff are nice, and the facility design is quite adorable. But for a business traveler such as myself, this is a poor choice of hotel -- I will not be staying here again.

Room had substantial maintenance issues upon move-in, ranging from a toilet paper holder that had been apparently ripped from the wall, to a bathroom door that squeaked so loudly that it jarred my teeth. (To their credit, they fixed the main issues after move-in, once I reported them.)

My room currently smells strongly like the interior of a BBQ restaurant from the intense wood smoke pollution resulting from their restaurant operations, which appears to be blowing directly into my hotel room block. If environmental & public health policy isn't your hobby, wood smoke pollution isn't just some cute smell -- it's comprised of particulate pollution (among many other pollutants) that are dangerous for people with asthma and other health conditions.

Because of the poor insulation around the door frame (with a significant visible airgap at the bottom of the door threshold), even closing the hotel room door can't prevent the smoke from entering.

Rather than offering to shut off the source of the smoke and actually fix the air quality, they offered me a Honeywell air filter -- seemingly missing its rear cover, and with a pre-filter that appears well past its prime -- that isn't really making much of a difference. Their staff member also had to come 3 times to finally deliver the right equipment.

(Also, one of the many documented harmful health effects of particulate pollution is that it inhibits people's ability to sleep well -- and perhaps coincidentally -- this turned out to be one of my worst night's sleep I've ever at a hotel.)

Also, there are just elements of my room that made it impractical/poorly designed for business stays. For example, the bathroom mirror remained fogged 30 minutes after taking a shower (despite leaving the fan on). It's not easy to groom yourself when the mirror is unusable.

Finally, especially as I have no reason to doubt the integrity or sincerity of the staff, after being told there were no other rooms available I could move to -- I was surprised to see that the Booking website curiously showed other rooms readily available that same night.

If you enjoy a cute theme park experience with friendly staff and don't mind paying a premium for it, stay here. If you actually need a hotel that is designed and operated to support your ability to have a productive work trip at a Domain office, this is not it.

I was incorrectly charged for a minibar drink, despite having not consumed anything from the minibar. I was able to have it removed after calling and waiting roughly 10...

My company hosted a 3-day corporate retreat with 68 attendees at The Lone Star Court Hotel and to say I was impressed across the board is an understatement.

I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and incredibly welcoming and warm hospitality of the front desk. Drew was funny, outgoing and helpful to myself and my team at check-in. Offering a cold beverage was such a nice touch!

Jazz and David from the event side of the hotel were absolutely amazing. I was blown away by how supportive and accommodating they were from start to finish. I felt like I was truly able to enjoy my event because the staff were so hands-on and helpful throughout the event. David was constantly asking us if we needed anything and made me feel like the event was always under control. Jazz was professional, and communicative and truly made me feel like she wanted the event to be as successful as I did. Jazz, you really stood out and were a pleasure. Thank you for being so accommodating in working with our budget and special requests along the way. I appreciate you endlessly.

Kailey, Teea And Winnie from the restaurant were so lovely and always smiling. They served us and our attendees ( 68 total) every day multiple times a day and were always fantastic! Everyone loved getting a spicy margarita after a day of meetings by the pool!

I honestly can say I’ve never stayed somewhere where the staff from EVERY department blew me away! John from engineering was always SO helpful with filling up water for our floral vases, moving furniture and pretty much anything I needed he was there to help with a smile! Thank you so much!

Jeffery from the rooms department and the housekeeping team were always such a pleasure to be around. Our rooms were spotless and Jeffery helped with our event setup as well!

Lastly, William and Whiskey. You truly left a lasting impression on all of my attendees and partners. I couldn’t believe the level of hospitality you provided us with. You surpassed everything I asked for and I felt like there was no task or request you wouldn’t help with. It made everything seamless, enjoyable and memorable. Your level of service really was impressive and never went unnoticed. Whiskey is the biggest hit on the property and I will miss seeing him and everyone along with all the staff.

I sincerely appreciate everyone so much and I would recommend this property to absolutely anyone whether it be a family trip, business conference or a just-for-fun getaway. The property is so unique and feels like an elevated summer camp! It was such a lovely experience.

Thank you to the INCREDIBLE team! I will certainly be back and look forward to exploring your other properties !!!

Many thanks, appreciation and...
