Yesterday my two-year-old daughter and I went to this H-E-B to grocery shop. I was grateful for the produce, happy with the meat selection, but something did make this trip horrible.. While walking I could feel a man behind me and from my peripheral vision I could see his phone following me, so I decide to turn down the next isle to see if his phone followed me, and it did. A woman customer says to him, “Sir are you recording?” He responds with, “No ma’am I’m not,” and he rushes to put his phone down.. Two other HEB customers looked directly from him to me, because others had seen what he was doing. I walked further down my isle and I hid in that isle for a good five minutes trying to maintain. I was scared, mad and concerned. The thing is I had the feeling he was recording me but I was worried about accusing, or upsetting this man. He was tall, and large and I felt scared. He also had a woman walking with him, but in front, so I didn’t know why he would be recording. Also, I didn’t know if he’s recording me or my daughter or us both? He had headed towards the toilet paper isles, and that’s where I needed to go, but I waited like I said for five minutes wondering what I should do. I wanted to go find an HEB employee but I didn’t want to cause a scene, so I thought I should just grab the baby wipes and leave.. Grabbing baby wipes I see a mom of similar build as me with her young baby, and our two kids are smiling at one another. Then I see the man about two Isles ahead, so I let this mom know what happened. I wanted her on the lookout too. While I’m telling this mom, a woman heb employee with grabbing items sees me upset and so I tell her what had happened. She immediately goes into action for me. She tells me, “This isn’t okay, I’m so sorry this has happened and I’m going to go tell some employees right now. Would you like us to walk you to your car? Are you okay? Again, I’m so sorry.” This. This was her lovely immediate response for me. She did just that, she told some employees and I saw them walking and keeping an eye on him. I rushed to check out and he was in the next isle to me- here my HEB hero is again, in between us, and then a separate employee opens up her register to let me checkout. I was completely frazzled and shaking, but after I checked out I saw the mom again that I had warned earlier. She told me she saw some employees talking to the man, and following him. I just want to say that because of my past experiences like being recorded or followed are very threatening and scary for me, but now as a mother it’s an entire new level of scary.. These employees saw that one of their customers safety space was threatened and they took action immediately. I wish I would’ve got her name, and I’m so sorry I didn’t. My brain was having difficulties, so I apologize. Thank you HEB. Thank you for always trying to provide a safe space for your customers and your employees. You could tell this employee felt that her team would stand with her and take action. I hope you find out who this employee is and let her know how thankful I am, and thank your employees for helping in all ways. This was yesterday December 7th, between 4:20-435ish. Always when you’re shopping be aware, and know your HEB employees...

Read moreI hate coming to this H-E-B due to it always being packed. When you go inside a lot of the time items are out of stock.
I've done pick up delivery several times. Generally, they're ready 15 minutes early. One time I was eight minutes late and they started calling me. Today, I did an order and I received a text that my order would be late with no time estimate. It was about an hour before my pick up was scheduled. I went to the store and started waiting at the latest on my original estimate, and waited, and waited, and waited, and then a woman went to my car and said oh, "I'm one spot over where I need to be! Your order should be right out." And then I waited another half hour. That's when the app changed or I noticed it changed (and I had been checking every maybe 10 min) and it said that my order had been picked up. I tried the texting service and then I tried calling with the number that the app and texting service had, and neither of them actually led to a person or any help. I went inside and it wasn't even the same people who run pick up versus the grocery store. So after two hours of waiting, I didn't get my stuff. And then they told me that they would deliver it after I was outside another hour waiting by my car...because my car battery died because I didn't know that I was gonna be waiting an hour and a half, and hadn't fully turned it off. So Heb manager said that they would deliver it probably tonight, and they didn't. So horrible over 3 hours of my life that I won't get back.
One star. Ten stars to me for not yelling at a single worker, guy I should've yelled at the managers who kind of just stand around and that one who took an hour just to you...
