Tso Chinese Takeout & Delivery — Restaurant in Austin

First off, I called in for an order. No one was around to take the order. Because of higher call volumes, so I thought it was gonna be busy when I walked in to find not a single order was in the window. Nor do they have any kind of line. If I would've known that they didn't accept cash, I would have dropped my order there. And not ordered, I should have brought cash.So I would have had a reason to walk out. Sure would have been better than paying overpriced for trash.

And I say that quite literally trash.

I got a drunken noodle that it had nothing to happen what to do with being a drunken noodle. The veggies inside of it were raw. The beef had a bunch of tendon throughout the cuts, it very badly cut. You would think that they would be cut, bite size and not 2x-3x the size of your mouth. And the people that work their wok don't know how to properly cook rice noodle. My drunken noodle was lacking with rice noodle for one. And it was clumbed together in a ball.

I don't know why anyone would give this place stars. This is the worst exprience i have had. Goto superbowl chinese on south first street. $8-12$ dishes that are cooked through and tasty. With no rice noodle balls clumbed together.

If you would like I could come in and show your crew how to stir fry. I have worked in a thia place for about four years.

Also, while I was waiting on this very slow night. There was a lady that walked in. Waited for about 15 minutes.. A Gentlemen came up and it put something in the warmer box. And she tried to get his attention, but he couldn't hear her because he had earplugs in. ( Something i'm totally against for you need to people to hear your crew in the kitchen. That's how people get burnt/hurt )

I continue to wait for my order as she waited herself for a few more minutes. I decided to take off. My order came out minutes later after about waiting almost thirty minutes.

The guy that handed me my order. Asked if the lady was with me. I said, no, she was here for a pickup. He looks in the box as I'm running my card from my order. It says to me as if I work there, I only have this one order for (name) As I responded back to him, that was her. She was here when your staff member, put it in the warmer box and she tried to ask about it, but your crew member did not hear because he had earplugs in, why are you allowing earplugs for your crew.

This is irresponsible...

It's a whole lot of hype for a whole lot of ho hum. I get the simplest of things on first try of restaurants I've never been to. If they fail that, there's no reason to go back. Beef with Broccoli is hard to screw up. Yet the version they present is hardly anything to write home about. A watery sauce that was at least not terrible was the least of their concerns. Beef was at least tender enough but I've had better. Broccoli was overcooked. Felt like other places have way more food for buck. Not to say it wasn't a good portion. My wife thought he combo fried rice was "OK". Neither of us liked our soups. The egg drop had zero flavor. He hot n sour was also bland. My fried rice was not all that fried and tasted off. The fried rice in her combo seemed like what I should have had in my side container. So no marks for consistency. It wasn't that this pace was horrible by any means but it was entirely unremarkable. For a delivery and takeout only place I would expect a higher level of everything compared to other dine ins because that's ALL they do. A whole lot of ho hum. Not sure why anyone would ever rate this joint 5 stars. High hopes but false praise. There is nothing remarkable...

Currently waiting on a 2-person order to be delivered for one hour now. We are 10 minutes away from the store. Not hopeful about the freshness/temp of the food. I'll update after.

So far, this is nothing like the rave reviews.

UPDATE: Called them at the one hour mark and claimed they were very busy and had to remake everyones' order and that the driver would be there soon to deliver our food. It's been another 20+ minutes since this happened and still nothing.

Going on a total of 1 and half hours since original order was placed. I will NEVER order from these people again. You clearly underestimated the area and are understaffed.

PANDA would have been a better choice tonight and that is sad! Your reviews have got to be fake.

DOUBLE UPDATE: They used the worst third-party driver EVER to deliber our food! Food is sweaty, small portions, just bland and inauthentic. Just stay away from this joke of...
