I’ve been in the Austin area for almost 20 years- in that time I’ve attended at least 20 different churches (Catholic and Episcopal) trying to find a place that I felt welcome. At Jubilee, my wife and I and our two young children have found a place that not only do we feel accepted as our authentic selves, but we feel celebrated! Father Lizzie breaks things down so they make sense, she makes them modern and relates them to current events so that we can see how they relate to our lives. Did I mention that the music is amazing! If you want to be self-righteously praised that everything you do is okay, is good, and you are the center of the world, this is the place for you. Pride (one of the many sins) is praised more than the word of God, almost in a ritualistic and arrogant way. If you intend to learn about God, the foundation God laid, and what He believed, I would recommend going somewhere else.
