I was the first employee they hand picked out of 100 candidates. We were told that any complaints could be brought to management, that was a lie. Any problems with operation and training were met with berating comments and waved aside from the Assistant Manager, Branden. I'd also found out that two employees who were hired with no experience are being unfairly paid. One is making $16 hourly rate while the other is only making $14 with the same level of experience. Manager Cody, and Assistant Manager Branden would also receive complaints from higher management about revenue on a location that barely opened, they're unfairly being gouged by the company but that is still no excuse for their interactions. The Grand Opening was met with anger and frustration from Branden because complaints were brought to him about employees missing key events. I say again, these complaints were not met with respectful consideration, but with malice. I once found Branden hiding in a server room doing something he jokingly but honestly claimed was an "HR complaint", I was not able to gather evidence of what he was doing in the server room but his response was enough to gain suspicion. I had been told TWICE while working on a large truck that we did not have to put the weight of the vehicle on the jack stands. If the jack failed a falling vehicle could shift or exceed the weight limit of the stands leading to injury or death. It showed me they were willing to put the safety of employees at risk for the sake of time management. I ignored the blatant safety violation and set the vehicle onto the stands. I have more complaints that ultimately would've been ignored and probably have led to an even quicker termination but overall I have found working at the Austin Les Schwab to be poorly managed, unable to take criticism from employees maturely and with consideration, does not uphold their workplace values, blatantly violates safety standard with a few practices, and is almost stereotypically greedy with it's expectations for a new location in an already competitive automotive market full of small businesses. It may seem friendly when a representative runs out to greet you with a smile but behind closed doors is the exact kind of soulless company that you all may have...
Read moreLol, if I could give them a 0, I would. I just had the absolute worst experience here ever. Had an appointment but was five minutes late. 45min later they hadnât even thought about taken my car in yet, I have ever had an experience where my oil change would have taken two hours with an appointment. I wasnât going to stay, I asked for my keys back and they blamed it on me because someone else had a 2p appointment and they had just taken them in at 2:50 but âthey were on time so thatâs whyâ my car hadnât been started. Lol no that sounds like just terrible scheduling and a terrible rude company is how I felt from my experience with that worker. Canât wait for any chance of someone to ask me for a recommendation and I can share my terrible experience here. Glad I decided to start with an oil change and not give them the business of the thousands of dollars worth of maintenance work my husband and my cars need. Rather give it to someone else in town who actually is good for the community. I left crying from my experience and specifically from the terrible employee they had in the front. Absolutely...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing. Admittedly a bit pricier than other options in the area, but these guys act like they actually want your business and treat you great. Beautiful well equipped facility, prompt, respectfully staff, comfortable lounge. I work 12 hours days 6 days a week so my time options are quite limited. I simply needed a set of tires I already had swapped onto my truck and when everyone else in the area said they couldn't or wouldnt or couldn't for days or weeks, (even Walmart in Albert Lea) these guys got me right in, met me before I even got across the parking lot to the front door. If paying a bit more is what it takes for decent...
