Iāve been coming to local pastures for a while now and they carry some unique things that I canāt easily find elsewhere. I particularly enjoy the mother culture kefir thatās about as close to a home brew as youāll find at a store. I also enjoy their jalapeƱo chicken sausage that I wish they would find a way to keep in stock more. For the most part the customer service has been good. At other times it has been off but I try to give a pass to those kind of things with a small farm to retail place. Thereās been a few reviews on here that I donāt think are fair given as long as Iāve frequented this place. I donāt really get the whole try to sucker punch a small business for a singular customer service experience when you can just call and speak to management who probably arenāt aware of it. It appears from the managements comments they want to correct the recent issue. If after that the issue remains then I think reviews are a fair response. It seems strange to leave a permanent review for a singular negative customer service moment for a small ma and pa place. Iāve come here for couple years now. Iāve no Lu had good food experiences and have been happy to find unique farm to store with humane and healthy products. It would be helpful for them to probably do a training on their employees as Iāve had a couple of hiccups with the staff but most of the staff has been...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really wanted to love this place because I live close and Iām a huge proponent of supporting local farmers and ranchers. Unfortunately, the woman that checked me out with my produce was so shockingly rude that I donāt think I can ever come here again. After purchasing well over $100 of goods, the woman asked me if I would like a bag while, sheās been ignoring me the whole time looking at her cell phone. I replied āya that would be awesomeā. She lifts up her head to look at me and says āI will only give you a bag if you ask nicely.ā I was kind of stunned at that arrogance because I didnāt think I asked in a rude way to begin with, I just replied to her question. So at that point, she was withholding the bag and had a ridiculous little smile on her face that seemed like a taunt. I finally after a few seconds said please? She gave me a dismissive look and I walked out without her saying thank you for spending hundreds of dollars at the store to support it. Unbelievable how people can hire such rude,...
Ā Ā Ā Read morethe reviews of this place are ironic, lots of people love it, some people are like "worst service ever" lol - i was in there today and for sure cashier has zero knowledge or potentially interest in being useful, further more, for mgmt, I've also be a fan of Locavore in Bend, Or but same problems, many freezers with difficult to read labels, prices written outside of humidity/icicle caked window doors, the overall buying experience is not great and I'm betting if someone figured out how to make products more readable, and organized the shelves better you'd sell more of the expensive protein. would def never buy $75/lb filet under these conditions, sausages/eggs and sirloin are the value. Locavore in bend sort of fixed their selection problems, at a minimum, Local Pastures needs someone behind the counter with a little more customer service vibes... I rode my bike in from office to get this stuff today, would not be excited to...
