The completely unfortunate part about this place is that it is the cheapest place in town. So no matter how bad the living conditions are, a lot of people with low income have to suffer and live a miserable life so they have shelter over their head. This place is way too big and has way too many apartments that they can't keep up with them all. My mom has regrettably taken part in residence here and seeing how these people treat their tenants absolutely disgusts me. Not only does the staff lack basic human skills but the apartments themselves should be demolished due to hazardous living conditions, the lack of up keep and the kind of cover ups they do to make it look liveable.
With every move in you make a list of broken things or anything you feel should be replaced. My mother created a list of things that included mold in the bath tub and under sinks that you could smell as well as decaying animal smell, the front door not being able to shut and lock properly, bugs in the cracks of the walls, blown fuses in light switches, flooding of the front porch when it rains and many more. For 1, living with these issues is not only a safety hazard but a HEALTH hazard! The issues have been addressed time and time again with a reply of "we'll send someone out to look at it" and, surprise! No one has, ever. And she pays $5/month for "pest fees" for what?!?!?!?! Oh wait I get it, the fine print must say you pay $5 a month to have bugs where you eat and sleep. It's cheap company so you don't get lonely.
To top it all off, my mother walked outside one morning and her car was gone. First thought was that someone stole it, considering the part of town that it resides in. Then she found a piece of plastic that had "wrecker" written on it. It looked like something they put behind the tires or something. I had to leave work to come get her to drive her to the front office because thats how far it is from her building... first We looked at the other cars to make sure we weren't supposed to have some sort of sticker for parking... no cars had anything. So I went to the front office to get some answers and we found out that they towed her car because it didn't have a parking permit. The lady who got my mom into the apartment had forgotten to give her a sticker. She called the tow company to make sure they had it and asked that they release it at no charge to us and gave us the address. I asked her "so you're going to have them bring it back, right? Or have someone go get it?" She said no that we had to go get it (across town mind you) and said it was her fault so she released it no charge to us, like i was going to pay for her mistake anyway or that it was supposed to make up for the inconvenience. She gave us the sticker and we went and got her car and I missed an entire day of work because of it. That happened about a week ago and I've tried to call when I have time to speak with a manager about it and to my surprise every time I call "they don't have a manager" don't have a manager? Or don't give a crap?
If I could give this place 0 stars I wouldn't hesitate. But maybe they do deserve atleast 1 star because their front lobby and pool area are immaculate and very misleading. If you can stretch your budget a little more, do it and go somewhere else. I pray that this places gets new management and makes some changes because until then, I will continue to warn people and urge them to...
Read moreIf you have other options, I promise living here is now worth it, move somewhere else! The first month or so seemed to be going well but everything after that… nope. 1)Our downstairs neighbor’s apartment started a fire or something and we had to evacuate our apartment for the night because the smoke rose and filled out apartment. We informed management (who had no idea though the fire department was called) the next and they told us we would receive a machine to clear it… never happened. 2) There’s always loud music playing from the parking lot that will shake your apartment that no one will do anything about. People will park in your reserved spot. There’s little parking. 3) As we were walking to our apartment once there were gunshots behind us and had to run to our apartment for safety where we called the police who did nothing. The surrounding apartments heard it and came outside to see if everything was okay because it happened in the parking lot. 4) Roaches EVERYWHERE. We got our apartment sprayed for bugs every 2 weeks. Made little to no difference, I had to buy my own. 5) Management doesn’t communicate with each other it seems. We were almost always given different information. They changed management staff a couple of times during our 1-year lease. 6) The pool was almost always closed. They said cleaning day was on Mondays but it would be closed for days at a time. 7) There was construction being done on the building which meant hammering on our roof and kitchen wall at 7 AM which resulted in two of our glasses being broken and having to tape the cabinet shut. Then we ask management why we weren’t notified they told us to refer back to the email they had sent out… 4 Months ago. They then sent out a rude email to the whole complex blaming us (the residents) for not receiving the email or just forgetting. 8) Upon moving out, we gave them 90-day notice and they emailed 2 days before we were moving out that the office would be closed on our move out date, I was able to meet them right as they closed for their 3-day break and one of the girls responded with “… oh just come in on Tuesday then, just remind me” umm… what? 9) Regarding our deposit. They charged us $80 for a late rent fee ( Which is due on the 3rd) and so happened to be the day we moved out where we were going to go over cost for 3 days of living vs paying the whole month's rent. Since they decided to close last minute on the 3rd we paid on the 4th in the office. The assistant manager said it was my fault and I should have done the math. Her actual words, I have it in recording because of how inconsistent the office had been over our year-long lease So all in all. Don’t move here find somewhere better please, I wish someone would have told me this. Especially if you’re a woman, there are always creepy dudes standing outside in the parking lot. Roaches. There’s a good chance there is mold in the vents. ( we had the air vents and it didn't help) Bad management. Dangerous Area....
Read moreMy review is based on my personal experiences that happened while living here and how it was handled. The office staff are friendly, in most cases very helpful and I only had two issues with them. One issue however, was a big one and that's why I'm giving a 2. I lived there for a year and I actually lived in 2 different places while living here. The first apartment was very clean, great spot, updated Appliances and cozy. The complex is close to downtown so I feel like I lucked out and the rent was affordable. That being said. My neighbor ended up being a psychopath and assaulting me in my parking spot and I had to have police involved. I don't wanna blame the complex but the police then told me that wasn't the first assault case on him and how he got approved for the place is beyond me. When I brought this to the complexs attention I was distraught and wanted a temporary apartment as I did not plan on staying. One of the assistants basically tried to get me to sign a new lease and when I told them I no longer desired to live there and just wanted to finish my lease far away from where the incident took place. They finally after a couple of tries obliged and relocated me. The second apartment however was very out of date. Appliances weren't the best and while the place was bigger, there was issues with bugs, rainwater leaking from my door, ac broken upon move in. My upstairs neighbors ac was broken and ended up leaking dangerous fluid into my pantry destroying all of my food. It was just a VERY big difference from my first apartment and I was honestly shocked. You'd think all the units would be the same but knowing your neighbor may have better equipment than you is kind of unfortunate. My second neighbors were much more calm and collected so the experience was so unbalanced. Nice apt, psychopath neighbor. Bad apt, really nice neighbor. I just with it was all one great experience. Also when I initially moved in I did have to argue about my rent price as it was quoted a certain amount and i had hecked my lease agreement days before move in It was changed last minute. I argued to get it back to what was quoted when I first signed. Shouldn't have had to do that. While I feel like my experience was unique I think overall it was just not the best. They need to renovate all units, run background checks on tenants, and give the employees better tools. Most places are digital and this place makes you sign a bunch of papers. Such a waste and bad for the environment and even an employee was surprised at how much paper they waste. I hope this was insightful, and that whomever reads this doesn't decide based on what I wrote but just know this was MY personal experience and I have a friend who has lived there and has had no...
