Another beautiful opportunity for everyone's favorite 🌎 traveled friend to review an establishment! While in the vibrant and highly "tech" influenced city of Austin, Texas. I dined at Arandinas, which was recommended to me by two employees at JC Penny while shopping! I was looking for the most "authentic" 🇲🇽 restaurant. Not "Texmex or American Mexican!" I will say that I was not disappointed at all! The restaurant was authentic, and the food was as advertised! I enjoyed the portions and the delectableness of each entrée that filled my table! And to add to the authenticness of my experience............. the 🇺🇸 was playing 🇲🇽 in ⚽️ that night! And as always, mexico prevailed that evening. This made for a very "festive" night in the restaurant! Service was above average, and the food was exceptional! Whenever in Austin, Texas, please enjoy an opportunity to dine at Arandinas Mexican Restaurant.

Disgusting food 0/10 not worth it everything feels so rushed and horrible taste. Very sad The torta meat is so thin and has absolutely no toppings just lettuce and tomato. The cocktail de camarón is weirdly sweet and taste like the just dunked a tomato can in there. We tried putting hot sauce to better the taste and its a nauseating taste. The atmosphere is not even a mexican feel they are playing english pop songs. Every employee stares and looks miserable. We kindly asked for a discount and we clearly did not fully eat literally just one bite and they said we already ate half… The pictures show what we ate it was literally two bites to try to enjoy and and we couldn't eat it then they made us pay and completely unacknowledged us and treated us bad. We in no way shape or form were disrespectful at all they just got offended. It ruined my whole family day and mood. Literally sad

I went here knowing it wasn’t super fancy but that didn’t take away from the experience. All the menus were written in Spanish if it wasn’t for duolingo I wouldn’t have been able to make my way through it lol all the staff spoke Spanish and the vibe was definitely that Ghetto Mexican feeling I love. So as I ordered a nice mixed drink only being 11$ and might i say it had more than enough alcohol and was pretty good with the tajin and lime juice mixed in I then tried the Barbacoa and Al pastor with rice and beans and was blown away by the flavor it was amazing! and the bar tender was attentive and passionate. Great place overall and definitely sets the standards high for a good go to experience with all the down town locations the convenience and service just make for a great experience like I’m not fighting over the next guy just to get a drink. A must try for any local! :)

La mejor! I am from Mexico and have eaten at every Mexican restaurant in town I think, definitely at least 90% of them...this is the very best! oh wow you will love it please try it is muy sabrosa and for vegetarians they have many options as well as for meat eaters too, even some vegan options. The salsa (and everything) is very delicious, they have what at taco deli they call the Dona sauce, it is a recipe from Veracruz and hard to find in Austin, they are generous with their portions of it at Taquerias Arandinas and with all their salsas and portions of everything, very sweet and helpful staff super super service (es mejor si hablas espanol pero...if you don't speak spanish no problem they are really eager to assist you and you guys will work it out i assure you, the table next to me, they just pointed at what looked good and the server brought it out with a smile), inexpensive prices for quality ay!... best of the best so comfortable an interior, if you spend more than $14 per per person including a generous tip I won't believe you oh my mother mary please try friends this is very authentic interior comida and simply fantastic in every way :) P.S. they have free wi-fi & try the aquas frescas P.P.S. they don't mind if you stay 30 minutes or 4 hours. P.P.S. Is open 7 A.M. -midnight! P.P.P.S. Wednesdays they have lunch special for only $4.99 11-2 ay! this is my favorite time to go everything on lunch menu for that great prince ... hurry, americanos y otros amigos, don't be scared of the spice it's not tex-mex it is even better, it is the real thing like in Veracruz (and you see many other Mexicanos in there so you know it is the truth) ... give a go! good for a date, with friends, alone, the children... disfruta! :) Viva taquerias...

The menu is huge, there are lots of things on it. It has a good range of items from inexpensive to expensive. I got the chile relleno with beef and it was excellent.

The plate was very large, probably could have split it, but I took leftovers and enjoyed it again later.

Their free table salsas were both really good, both the green (nice and smokey) and the red; to my surprise they were both not too hot to eat, as I'm often unable to eat salsa at Mexican restaurants because they are too hot. Very flavorful with the perfect amount of heat.

We also ordered a guacamole, which was also good, not too diluted like it often can be.

Based on my one experience there, very Latino patronage, likely a good sign for good food.

Would definitely go back if I'm in the area, which is a good thing because that's kind of a food desert over there on East Riverside. There are several fast foody kind of places, but this is a good Mexican sit down. Delightful.

Wait staff was very friendly and responsive, if but a tiny bit slow, but not a terrible critique. Place was busy and I don't blame them for being a little slow, though if I was in a hurry I might have been...

Immediately when my husband and I came into this restaraunt there was confusion. They tried to seat us next to an existing party, thinking we were with them. Nothing crazy, but it can induce some awkwardness. We laughed it off and got sat down at another table. We noticed there was a push for service button, and wondered if we had to press it to call for a waiter. We waited for a while, then reluctantly pressed the button. (It rings a bell that everyone can hear, super uncomfortable. Dont press the button if you have social anxiety because EVERYBODY will know you pressed it). When we pressed it, somebody came by with chips and sauce. The food was good, our server didn't speak English. Our drinks weren't really refilled when I left my cup at the edge of the table, so I had to request a refill. At the end of the night, they charged us for 2 Mexican cokes, even though my husband only got one. Because of the language barrier, we settled on taking one to go instead of taking it off the bill. It's not like we were treated badly, and maybe it's just because it was a Monday night, but I've had better customer service elsewhere. I'd still come...
