UPDATED RATING!! First things first, I loved attending classes here. More than can be described. Guys beware!! After attending FIVE drop in classes that had different students in each I began my Silks series intro course. I've been practicing yoga for a long time at studios from coast to coast and pride myself on my studio etiquette and have made "Keep your eyes on your mat" my mantra. To my categorical dismay, I received an email from Sky Candy (See Below) informing me I was no longer welcomed and they were refunding my money "For the comfort and safety of our teachers and students." The incongruities: The classes had rotating students and I never spoke to any or saw any more than once, hence I question what student could have feared for their safety based on an hour class with no one on one interaction. So "folks from the studio"?? During my five classes with six students in each, I rarely saw another guy and the few men I saw practicing were very advanced. There were no guys in the intro series classes that I saw. I'd read volumes, volumes into that last sentence. So when I read these absurd and unfounded accusations assassinating my character is a farce of biblical proportions. And then for the cherry on top, they were using my picture on their Yelp landing page?? (See Screenshot below) Come on?! You are double dipping by saying I'm an ogre but using my picture to augment your public image on Yelp?? Please take it down! If there was any chance of these accusations being accurate, founded or held any legitimacy I'd not be sharing this less than flattering tale. But there isn't. Period. Why else would I share this publicly if I had anything to hide? I wouldn't and I don't. I did nothing wrong and am implacable, nay retractable in my assertion and my reputation in my yoga community speaks for itself. Men, I would be wary. Anytime you don't see any guys and something this insanely over the top happens, there's a reason. I'm happy to field any questions.

Sky Candy is an incredibly inclusive and supportive aerial studio. The staff and instructors are the kindest people ever. I've never felt less self conscious while working out, and I used to hate working out in front of other humans. But at Sky Candy I feel strong and I'm no longer self conscious. After several years of being a student here my instructors (read: friends) finally convinced me to participate in the student showcase. I had an amazing time and have now done 3 showcases. This is seriously the most supportive place. If you've been on the fence, please know that I was completely out of shape when I started taking classes here. Everyone was so kind, and I've made so much progress since I started. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a safe space for all 💜

I am actually appalled at how my son has been treated thus far. This is utterly unprofessional.

Apparently, my 9 year old son was laughed at by staff over his lunch.

I payed over $600 for my son to be bullied? In what world is this okay— I’m finding out about this now, and my blood is completely boiling.

*Friday, July 25, 2025- 5:50am

Since the replying option to Sky Candy’s response wasn’t available:

Hi Winnie,

Thank you for responding. I do appreciate that the staff member issued an apology after my direct request — that acknowledgment does matter.

However, your response omits key facts: my son did not feel safe, was physically shoved by one child, aggressively threatened 5 times by a different person, and humiliated over multiple interactions. My son even told the teacher about what happened to try and protect himself and get the girl to stop, which resulted in her escalating threats each time and telling him, “I’m gonna punch you in the face”, “I will kill you.” None of these conflicts were reported to me, not the cut on his hand, the shoving from the boy, not the verbal harassment or threats from the girl, and as a former educator, this is completely unacceptable. While your team attempted conflict resolution, the environment remained physically and emotionally unsafe, which is ultimately why he didn’t return.

Additionally, your comment that a refund was issued for the remainder of the week is inaccurate. I received a partial refund of $260 — not the full $520 for the four days he missed or was mistreated.

I tried to resolve this privately with professionalism and patience. When those efforts were not met in kind, I had no choice but to pursue...

As much as my daughter enjoyed her time in this program, I must say that I am extremely disappointed at the level of service given to me on this day.

My daughter was accepted into an advanced art program. I found out about this acceptance 2 days after we paid for her classes at Sky Candy.

At her first class I advised the teacher that we had an orientation the next week for this program and that we may need to change the date that she's in class because we didn't know exactly what was going to happen. To which she replied that's fine we can talk about it then.

We missed the 2nd Thursday and came back on the third week. I asked the lady at the front desk about the transfer to the Sunday class with the same teacher and same title. I explained what was going on and she said I don't see why that would be a problem, let me go check. She runs and asks a lady that is helping with the class (that my daughter should be in at that time). She returns to me and states that she was advised that any transfers have to be made before the third week. And since this was the third week, we could not transfer into that class. Yet the third Sunday class had not happened. It was only Thursday. To which I replied, so great I just get to lose all of my money! And I walked out the door.

Sky candy offers a lot of opportunity for people, it just does not offer flexibility...not in the way that it is that some families may require it.

Think about that before you give...
