First off, I was greeted by a lovely and charismatic woman named Jana, who was very helpful and obviously very knowledgeable on all the various kinds of teas available. She was both patient and kind, informative but not overbearing. Simply, she was a delight. My friend and I shared a flight of four different teas which was beautifully displayed with care and attention to detail. Each tea was labeled on the side of the serving tray so we didn't have to remember what was what. And the whole flight with a lovely side of honey was only $12. Four high quality teas for $4 each is such a great deal, I would have paid more. Now, the tea: top-notch quality and lots of options, from various greens, whites, to aged pu'ers, spicy chai, and herbal blends. I bought a pound of their genmatcha since it's my morning drink of choice. And it's the best genmatcha I've been able to source in Austin. Zhi is a lovely place for a chill hang while sipping a warm beverage. Highly recommend.

Moved to Texas from Colorado and really missed the tea houses there. Someone on Reddit recommended this place so I thought I would try it out. Am not disappointed at all. A huge selection of teas that you can buy or enjoy in-house on your own or with a group. They have tasting flights as well as some special tea sampling opportunities. The teas are very delicious. All organic and no toxic chemicals (I asked). Their staff are friendly and helpful. I took down a star because there should be more seating and a lounging area for those who wants to chill with a great cup of tea. Their chairs aren’t really that comfortable. I also hope their business grows so 1) I can continue to enjoy their teas out of the house and 2) they add some kind of small bites and board games for those who want to chill here during a lazy afternoon.

Fabulous experience here. I visited Zhi Tea, this adorable little Mom and Pop tea shop🍵 directly after doing a special tea ceremony/ meditation healing session. 🎑 From the moment I walked in I immediately felt super zen and just at peace. 🙏 I was greeted sweetly by Janna, who was not only super friendly and professional, but also Extremely knowledgeable about all things tea, especially pu'erh tea which I came for, and alsoanother herb I was searching for but couldn't really find elsewhere. From a variety of herbs to a diversity of All different types of teas, to freshly baked yummy goodies, this is a magical tea house that Totally rocks. I would go back "just to see Jana!" The tea was just a bonus almost as special as she was. I will DEFINITELY be back again and highly recommend Zhi Tea!!

This is an absolutely wonderful gem of a place, staffed by absolutely wonderful people! I'd tried Zhi Tea at Brentwood Social House (another absolute gem of a place!), but had never been in the shop till just recently. And I truly couldn't have had a better, more uplifting and illuminating experience. Huge thanks to Kenny and Jana, who are incredibly knowledgeable, and incredibly generous when it comes to sharing their knowledge.

I am a fledging tea drinker, and when I walked in knew almost nothing about tea. Kenny and Jana were so patient and warm as they explained things and helped me refine and describe my tastes. (They're also so skillful at describing the differences between teas and how teas will taste, which I think is a hard thing to do well.) The physical place itself is great too-- really lovely and with such great energy and vibes. Kenny is an immensely talented visual artist and you'll enjoy evidence of that as you walk in, as well as in touches throughout the shop.

I have been enjoying delicious, invigorating looseleaf tea at home since my visit (a big leap for this formerly clueless and somewhat lazy teabag user), and also, Kenny and Jana were both so genuine in their invitation for me to call or drop by anytime with any questions. So that's a nice feeling too! I feel really lucky that I live in Austin and can drop by here anytime. (They ship their product too.)

Whether you're a seasoned tea drinker or whether you're just getting started (like me!), you'll learn something and feel uplifted after your time here. I highly...

Stepping into Zhi is an amazing experience! The energy immediately elevates your soul, and that's before you've had your first sip! Jeff, Jana, Kenny, and Karen created a safe, warm, and welcoming space. Where one can connect with friends and family while enjoying wonderfully brewed teas from across the world.

My first experience there was transcendental. While I enjoyed a specialty flight of teas and was catching-up with an acquaintance, I knew instantly I had found my second home. Since then, I have returned on numerous occasions to purchase many splendid teas, share experiences with gracious hosts, and satisfy the body's need for healthy nourishment.

I highly, highly recommended you partake in their incredible journey and introduce these nurturing teas into your daily routine. Join in and treat your self to a pot (or two!) if you have the time to spare. Thanks for reading my review, and have a blessed day!

PS - the Snow Chrysanthemum is incredibly mellow and soothing, like sipping on a cloud of...
