Our wedding was 4/12/25 and I could not be happier with our venue selection, the staff & management representatives! The place is STUNNING and bigger than it may look in online photos. We had over 80 guests at our reception, plus coordinators, catering staff, wait staff, DJ, photographers (I was worried about the space feeling cramped once it was full, especially with an open bar, but that wasn’t the case at all!) and I could not have asked for better assistance & attention. I got ready in their onsite locker rooms (which are nothing like the locker rooms you’re probably picturing, they are stunning! And huge!) and they even accommodated our cocktail hour on the 7th floor (equally stunning) so the space could be switched from ceremony to reception by the vendors & coordinators. Security and bar staff were personable and so accommodating, I can’t say enough about how we were treated. I really felt like everyone gave us the royal treatment and that really made our big day that much more special! Maggie & Kyle will make you feel right at home with their amazing personalities & attention to detail. I never felt uncomfortable making a request (no matter how outlandish) and the best part of all — this is one of the more affordable wedding venues in Austin! The final bar tab + venue total with deposit is about 25-30% less than I found at other Austin/Hill Country venues AND I had this venue for 14+ hours in total with prep, getting ready, the ceremony, reception and break down. For the space we got, the treatment we received and STUNNING photos that came back, I couldn’t have asked for a better & more accommodating venue! AND it’s not a venue that every Austin bride & their mom has been married at. It’s a relatively new venue, so while you get the luxury of knowing your photos/wedding won’t be like everyone else’s, you also get an amazing and professional venue & management staff that seem like they’ve been doing weddings all their entire lives! The Sky Lounge on Lady Bird is such a hidden gem and serves as a spectacular venue for any special event in Austin! Our experience was elevated not only by the stunning views of downtown but also by the exceptional service provided by their event manager, Maggie Kennedy.

Maggie's professionalism, helpfulness, and responsiveness made the entire process of planning the welcome reception for our wedding smooth and effortless. She went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, from helping arrange music to coordinating with the catering team and the bar staff. Her dedication truly made us feel like valued clients, and we are immensely grateful for her help!

And what’s an event reception without a fully stocked bar? Savannah Fontenot, the bar supervisor, crafted delicious specialty drinks that were specifically tailored to our tastes. They perfectly captured our go-to cocktail flavors but with a unique Sky Lounge twist. Our guests couldn't stop raving about them. The wide variety of drinks available at the bar ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy.

What most impressed us was the atmosphere of the venue. The evening was a perfect time to catch the sunlight bathing the Austin skyline in color. Our guests were constantly in rotation taking group pictures on the balcony all evening. It’s a unique spot in the city to capture both the skyline of the city and Lady Bird Lake below.

Don't hesitate and book the Sky Lounge now for your event! I took a chance and reserved it from out of state based only on the reviews and pictures, and they did not disappoint one bit! I held my retirement party at the Sky Lounge and Maggie was an absolute delight to work with. She put my mind at ease with all planning questions, and provided fantastic recommendations for a caterer and even a babysitter that could attend to help the parents relax, and they all positively crushed it! From my 95 year-young grandmother to a friend's 5 year old daughter and everyone in between, we all had an amazing time and everyone lauded the entire evening down to the last detail. Thanks to the entire staff and a BIG shout out to Maggie and Kyle for welcoming my family and friends into a wonderful venue with a great view, amazing setting, friendly security, classy staff, and delicious cocktails that are being raved about days later!
