My "Check Engine" light came on the other day while on my way to work. I took out my phone & quickly searched 'nearest auto parts store' & Auto Zone popped up. So, I called the number & after speaking with an incredibly kind, helpful & knowledgeable technician named Chip, she informed that I could stop in at ANY TIME & she would IMMEDIATELY help me diagnose the problem... And that is exactly what happened...
I pulled into the parking lot at 2:01pm & was pulling out by 2:10pm.
When I arrived, Chip was on the phone, assisting another customer so she asked her colleague, Joel, to help me out. He happily agreed. A very friendly & knowledgeable Joel & I promptly walked to my vehicle, where he plugged the diagnostic device in beneath the dash, received 1 code (in a matter of seconds) & we both went back inside to allow the computer to read the code from the diagnostic device. Joel thoroughly explained the results on the computer screen before us both & then printed out a few sheets, containing those results, for me to take home or to the automotive repair shop of my choice. The process was so quick & so easy, I was extraordinarily surprised & pleased. I sincerely thanked Joel for his help.
As I was about to make my way to the parking lot, Chip came out from around the counter to formally introduce herself & ask me how everything went that day. She also apologized for being on the phone when I arrived & not being able to see to the matter herself. I quickly accepted her kind gesture & assured her that I would return in the future & that that particular Auto Zone store would become my go-to spot for many of my future automotive needs, based on the professionalism the staff exhibited, the urgency & care with which they tended to my automotive issue & the fact that their diagnostic service was just that, a service... and a free of charge one at that!
If you want quick, professional, friendly service, I HIGHLY recommend this store!!! Once you go there I'm sure you will, too.
Thanks for taking the time to read my honest, unbiased & unsolicited review of Auto Zone, located on Ohio River Blvd (Rt65), in the Bellevue/Avalon area (right next to...
Read moreEmployee was rude, and then lied to me that they're not helping customers put in batteries due to COVID - which would have left me stranded at work had I not called a friend to help me install it. Then he tried to pass on business to the Monroe place next door to replace a battery (which he was too lazy to do). There were ZERO complications with my battery (it was not under the computer system or anywhere else for a 2015 Infiniti QX80). I called two other local AutoZone stores who said it wouldn't have been a problem. Now I ALSO need to return the battery for a refund because my original one was only 2 years old and still under warranty. LIED TO, AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. COMPLETELY UNETHICAL. WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION WHEN SO MANY OTHERS ARE HANDLING CUSTOMERS WELL AND PROPERLY. AVOID!!! I've also reported this location to corporate.
As an update - the ownership contacted me, made things right, and was going to handle this...
