Grille 565 — Restaurant in Bellevue

I am amazed at the rating this place currently has (about 4.4 stars.) I came to this place for lunch on a Friday, despite my neighbor telling me not to (I live in Bellevue.) I was told the food was horrible, and it was. We came for lunch on a Friday, like I said. There was one server running around the whole place. She was very clearly overwhelmed and as a result, also rude. I’m not a high maintenance customer; I have been in the restaurant industry as a server/bartender for more than 15 years. Aside from the server being understaffed and overwhelmed, I had some big issues with my food.

We started with an artichoke spinach dip. The dip itself was good enough, aside from being smothered in cheese. The pita it came with was deep-fried to a crisp, and made me feel nauseous. The salad I ordered (because there were zero legitimate vegetarian options, and I thought “they can’t mess up a salad”) was not good. It had some kind of carmelized or candied cranberries on it that literally tasted like candy, not cranberries. They were incredibly chewy and stuck to my teeth so hard. The salad dressing was some kind of balsamic (whatever comes with that chicken cranberry salad) and tasted soapy. Not implying that there was soap in it of course, I’m just saying that’s how it tasted.

Accidentally came across this place tonight on our way to thev rusty nail OMG what an amazing find everything was top notch ! We were greeted by the most inviting ladies and then our server was so fantastic gave us great recommendations on the menu plus a samples . Any question we had was answered as if she was excited to amaze us with more details of what they offered instead of annoyed like some servers are at other restaurants . We ended up having beer and trying the summer sangria for our cocktails another slam dunk and then had ribeye steak dinner and stuffed cod as our entrees as well as a salad and this absolutely ridiculously good spicy chicken corn chowder soup everything was on point steak juicy and cooked to perfection flavered and charred with herb butter omg and the cod juicy savory and huge ! My mouth is watering just thinking about tonight I rarely write reviews but we were so impressed I made sure I did it right before bed to get every detail right we will be back tomorrow for lunch and comedy night n dinner ! Thanks again for such a great experience...

The first time I ever tripped over this gem was by blind luck. Took the family out to the Bellevue pool at the park, and we were looking for somewhere different to eat. We tripped over this place and have been back every time we are in town! Great service, good menu, food is delicious and always have decent daily specials. A little hint thats not on the menu if interested...ask for pizza nachos and/or spinach artichoke dip...you won't be disappointed!

There is also a basement area with a bigger bar and tables to eat where they have bands and other performers throughout the weeknites to enjoy. This is a great place to just relax and unwind with friends and family to forget about things for awhile...dare I say its a Pittsburgh version of Cheers? Nah, this place is better...although they could use a Norm character.
