I was so excited for this location on the west side because it would be closer home. I think some of the employees here are racist!! Everytime me & my sister shop there, when we check out, when we give the the receipt we are subjected to our stuff being counted, i am not against that, but can you be fair to everyone, i have observed severally other people not being subjected to that. I one time asked the lady at the door, why they do that and do they count for everyone & she said yes, i corrected her by asking her why she didnāt do that to the folks who went before us & she claims she did. So we let it go, lying through her teeth. Yesterday we went back & we had 2 transactions, gave out my card & they insisted they want cards for both of us, told the lady we live in the same house, she insisted that we have to show both cards. Fine!! We gave her both cards. When my sister went to pay for the first transaction, she said NO!! The owner if the card pays for her own transaction, i said its the same house we use one card, she refused and so I had to pay for the transaction with my card!! I feel this is not a way to conduct business, if we live in the same house, maybe we use one debit card for our grocery shopping, it is quite dehumanizing & demoralizing to treat people that way, was she trying to make us feel as if we canāt afford to pay for the transactions?? What is going on at costco, especially this locations, if i go to the cashier, they remove everything from our carts, but still have to be subjected to things being counted at exit?? There is nothing to steal between the cashier & the exit, is it us that you donāt trust, minority/people of color or is it your cashierās that you donāt trust???? I will not be going back to Costco in Avon, i will give another location a chance & see...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to enjoy coming into Costco and was going to get my own membership because of it. Instead of using my Costco gift card this time. I used my parent card. My mom wasnāt feeling well to go out to the store on her own so I went out to get the items she needed. However, when I went out to get my parent some items from the store. The lady in the front was super mean and rude to me as soon as I walked in. The people throughout the entire building followed my cousin and I around and was rude when we got up front to pay for our items. Never in my life Iāve experienced terrible customer service like this whenever Iāll come to use my gift card. But this time I had my parent costco card and they wouldnāt let me shop. I would not be getting a membership from them at all anymore. Samās club has better customer service than what Iāve experienced here. Bridge burned for good. I wonāt be giving them another penny! You donāt harass people like that and think they will be cool with it afterwards. It was unnecessary and a turn off for sure. Plus this experience shows me you have no flexibility on using your memberships the way you want to as a customer. As a company costco not even original itās evident they were inspired by Samās Club...

Great foods you can not find other places (Kirkland house brand - many are excellent and some are made by brand names for them...looking at you Starbucks among many others.) There are bulk discounts on things you can find other places. Great selection in meats fresh and frozen, heat and eat meals, coffee, adult beverage trinity, and lots of things you did not realize you wanted/needed (e.g.- peeled and cooked beets in 3 packs of 3 whole beets...Japanese plum wine...a 3 days cold collapsable 50 can cooler bag.) We have yet to try, due to it being so busy, the pizza slice and hot dog deals and will at some point based on samples. If bulk buying works for you, Costco is great and they also have electronics, appliances, outdoor gear and furniture for indoors and out. It's a trip each time. Good deals on clothing too. Just go with a friend who is a member and check it out. Have to have your own membership...
