Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Avon

I went into this knowing only that there is a location in Arkansas that I never tried, and that they obviously serve chicken salad. I love chicken salad so I was looking forward to this visit. I just walked out, went to my car, and started this review, after being shocked to find so many lower ratings. I personally had a very good first visit of never being in a Chicken Salad Chick. Cute atmosphere, clean, and tablecloths (nice personal touch). My first step into the place I felt very comfortable. The cashier was smiley and friendly (and patient) as I was viewing the choices for the first time. Went with Chick melt and was glad to be able to choose any version of chicken salad to it. I went with the potato soup. I ordered a sweet tea and when I realized they had watermelon sweet tea at the fountain, and went with that instead (it was good). When receiving my meal at my table, I was pleasantly surprised by an individual-size cookie that came with it. The cookie was another unexpected touch, and it was good, too! First time here. Ordered the chicken salad melt with lauryn’s lemon basil chicken salad as my choice. Came with choice of broccoli salad, grape salad, fresh fruit or Mac n cheese. Or a choice of soups. I chose the tortilla soup. It was very tasty. Flavored just right. It came with a sour cream dollop. Next time I will ask for no sour cream. The sandwich was divine with a croissant as the bread. Loved the taste of the basil.

Only negatives were the drink machine was terribly loud at times. My husband said it was its soda machine compressor.

And it was difficult to see the menu on the wall behind the cashier because the Quick Chick stand was blocking it as you lined up. I told the cashier and she said “well there are menus at the front.” We didn’t notice them. Guess we missed the signage if there was any.

Chicken Salad Chick has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness. The staff is not only professional but also incredibly welcoming, making you feel like a valued guest every single time.

The food options are fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and so many varieties of chicken salad to choose from that there’s something for everyone. The sides and desserts are just as delicious, and everything always tastes homemade.

A special shout-out to the team for recommending the strawberry lemonade — it was the perfect refreshing touch! I’d love to see even more creative drink flavors added in the future because that one was a hit.

Between the outstanding service, inviting atmosphere, and amazing food, Chicken Salad Chick is an absolute gem. Highly recommend!
