I've ordered dozens of items online. On this particular occasion the staff member came over to me and demanded to know my name as I picked up my product that I owned, given that I paid for it online with my credit card. I found it quite interesting that she chose me to ask my name given that other customers pick up their products and staff do not ask their name and there was a sign that said "Grab and Go."
The same staff member stated that she needed to know my name because she needed to document that my order had been picked up. I told her that I knew she was lying to me because I've ordered online at Michaels at least over a dozen times and I always get a text and/or email that states my order's been picked up without ever giving my name.
The staff member then told another customer at Michael's that I was "Satan." I then asked to speak to her manager. I informed the manager that the consistent order's Michaels was getting from me would stop and that Michaels would no longer be getting my money. The Avon Indiana store manager asked me to lower my voice. I then informed the store manager at Michael's in Avon that her employee told me a clear, blatant lie.
I called Michael's corporate office and described the above incident for their district manager and I left my cell phone number and email address with a customerservicerepresentative. The corporate/district manager did not follow up with me.
I hope someone at another business treats these Michael's employees and their family members the same way they treated me. They treat their loyal customers horribly and yes, this would be an excellent...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to michael's today And I was Rudely reminded that systemic racism still exists. There was this lady that I asked help from she was Returning items that were moved back to their locations. I asked her multiple times to help me. Every single time she gave me a really rude answer and wouldn't help me. Find the section or the item would just point me out to a general area. Without naming me an aisle number or anything. And I was looking for specific items. Really hard to find. But then I go down to another aisle. And I find her looking up an item on her. Scanner for another customer which happened to be white. She was extremely rude to me, but extremely nice to her in less than 5 seconds from interacting with me. Then a walked past her multiple other times looking confused And still searching for these items. She mean mugs me and doesn't ask. Have you found them? Do you need any more help nothing at all. I was shopping for instacart, not for myself. If I was shopping for myself. I would have left the store a long time ago. I do not recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWalked in today to instacart today for three items; i was in the craft section looking for a ounce bottle of triple thick gloss, Iāve never shopped for gloss before. I decided to ask an employee (middle aged woman brunette hair )to just simply point me in the right direction or tell me an aisle number. She refused to tell me and said ā I donāt get paid to help you, iām not supposed to shop for you, you donāt know what i go throughā i said, āiām not asking you to shop for me iām just asking for an aisle numberā i walked away. I had 6min to shop for three items and turned into 20 minutes because i couldnāt find the gloss! iām not disappointed that i went over my time iām disappointed that as a customer buying art supplies for other customers your job is to help a customer when they have questions. i have shopped at michaels for myself for years as an artist, gig work is a extra hustle on the side. Whereās the respect from...
