I live in a city where our Red Lobster shut down due to bad management. So while we were in town visiting family, my husband was ecstatic to come eat here! We waited almost 40 minutes on a tableâŠwith anticipation we looked at the menu online so we would know exactly what we wanted. The restaurant was only half full (must be horribly understaffed!) and we were sat in a section where there were a total of 4 tables for our server to handle. We watched our server run crazy between 3 tables for almost 10 minutes before she came to greet us. Her greeting was simply, âWe are backed up in the kitchen. We are out of both boils. (Itâs Crabfest) What can I get you to drink?â Turns out they were out of Pepsi as well. I asked if they had the Mahi - nope! Out of that also! We go ahead and order an appetizer and a couple of alcoholic drinks. Our biscuits and clam chowder was brought out before our non-alcoholic drinks were. 5 minutes later we asked for those drinks again from another server. I expect to wait on the drinks from the bar, not the tea & starry. Another 5 minutes go by before our server showed up with our drinks from the bar, dropped them and left without taking our order. A little bit later she finally shows up to see what we want to order and I ask for the Crab Stuffed Mushroom as a mealâŠNOPE out of those as well. At this point weâve been there an hour and all Iâve eaten is 1 cheddar bay biscuit and a few drinks of my sweet tea. She offers a manager because Iâm rightfully upset. We agree weâd like to speak to a manager. She walks away and visits her 3 other tables then comes back and asks if we are ready to order. I let her know Iâm still waiting on the manager. When the Manager finally comes over, she stops 5 feet away from the table, looks me in the eye and says, âYes?â I ask her to step closer so I donât have to raise my voice, she takes 2 steps closer and stands over my husbandâs shoulder. I start to explain all that we had experienced, so that she can understand everything that led to me speaking with her. She cuts me off making excuses for bad behavior and says the greeters are just children and canât be trusted to know when they sell out of anything. At this point I was done and we got up and left. I told her it would have been nice if she let me finish my sentence and to have a good night. After my interaction with her, itâs obvious that the issues there lie in management. She doesnât know how to manage a restaurant from staff to stocking food, this evening showed her short comings. Just another sad example of how the wrong management can...
Read moreSept. 5th, 25. Worst experience at a restaurant my husband and I have ever had. First off we had a reservation for 7:00, we arrived at 6:40. When we checked in the guy at the desk told us that he wasnât sure if he could seat us until 7:00, so ok no problem we will wait 20 minutes. But when he started seating people that were just coming in after us, (just walking through the door), not one but four couples. My husband ask him if we were next at 7:08, he said I guess I can find a table. So now it is 7:10 and the server walked by the said she would be right with us. So more waiting 7:30 she took our drink order, easy right two ice teas. She brought biscuits no drinks, no silverware, no napkins. More waiting. Finally she took our dinner order. Ice teas come out, but she forgot the silverware, back she went, salads come out, back she went for the silverware, finally silverware. Now we think things are finally coming out. Then salads are finished no main plate yet, more waiting. Well!! then someone from the management comes out and tells us that our server canât remember what my husband ordered, so she only put my dinner order in (which was the Friday night special) and so we had to tell the managerial lady his order, Crab dinner, By this time it was 8:00pm. Finally got our dinners at 8:15. Our dinners were very greasy and no flavor. At this point you would think someone from the managerial staff would come and apologize to us. But NO not a word. We asked for our check, more waiting, paid the bill, at this point it was 8:40pm. Our evening was done, no time to do anything else. Who has that kind of time for dinner at a Red Lobster, over two hours. Really Unexceptionable!! Bad reservations desk, Bad wait staff and Bad management. THIS IS WHY THIS RED LOBSTERS IS FAILING. We will not be back to this Red Lobster. Avoid this...
Read moreWe got there at 5:30p on a Saturday. It was standing room only and they expected a 30-40 minute wait. No problem. I gave the hostess my cellphone number for the waitlist and we went back to our car to make room for others. I immediately got a confirmation text that said I was added to the waitlist. After an hour I reproach the hostess and check our place in line because I hadnât received a text. An extremely rude manager told me she called my name and my phone. I said I didnât get anything on my phone. The manager continued to say we called you. I said you did not call my phone and showed her my text confirmation but no other message was received. She said everybody in here heard me call your name. I said but you didnât text me? She said we called you. I again had to say, YOU DIDNâT CALL MY PHONE. She continues to ask other guest, you heard me call him, right? And I had to say no less than 5 times, that you did not call my phone which was the whole point of giving you my phone number. She finally sat us a few minutes later and our server was almost as rude. After sitting for 10 minutes, the server approaches the table and asked what we wanted to drink. I said I think we are ready to order. The server said oh no, I canât do that yet. Just drinks. So we sat for another 15 minutes with no drinks, no bread, no nothing. Now we had been there for over an hour and a half and nobody even took our order yet! Finally he took our order then vanished. Another server brought our order out 30 minutes later. Our drinks were empty before our food even got there and remained empty until halfway thru the meal. It was awful. We wonât go back to this location. There was no apology from anyone throughout the entire experience. You guys need a change in leadership...
