Gave 2 stars only becsuse Cashier was super nice and I think he felt bad about what was going on, however repair guy broke my Samsung Note phone while replacing the charging port. (The phone was in great condition when I arrived besides the port being worn) after departing the store, i researched it myself and found that the ports are phone specific to a samsung and they used a generic one not knowing this. Repair guy told me the issue was having was becase I hadn't done updates on my phone. Not true. My phone had automatic updates. I told him about the phone specific issue when I returned to the store and he offered a refund after removing the port HE installed, however, he said my old port had been disposed of. This left me with a useless phone. After days of no phone and going back and forth I had to buy a new one (and i loved my old phone). I then found out by googling the problem that I could purchase a Samsung specific port on ebay for $5.00 including the tools to chang it.. Did that!..phone worked!...At one point the repair tried to sell me his used Samsung S5 for $250.00. He later tried to buy my "broken" phone because it was in great shape (what?) While removing the generic port, he told me my battery was bad and asked if I wanted to buy a new one. I said no but found on inspection of the battery at home, it had been switched out. WOW! I have waited 3 months to write this review because I was so dissspointed and offended I wanted to calm down enough to be honest and unbiased.. This experience really sucked! I believe he knew he broke the phone and tried to bullsh**t me because I was being polite about it instead of throwing a tantrum . Maybe its just the law enforcement officer side of me showing but.....He made me wonder if he isn't making money by "breaking" phones then offering to buy them. Why would he want my "broken" phone and why was he selling his "old" phone out...
Read moreJust an awful experience with this store. Poor products that the store doesn't stand by and lying managers. I have 3 security cameras that each take 4 3V batteries. They needed replacement, so I went to Batteries Plus Bulbs in Avondale. They sold me a 12 pack of Streamlight (the only brand they had) 3V batteries for $29.99. These batteries lasted less than a week, whereas the Duracell/Energizer equivalents last 3-4 months. I had only used 8 of the batteries, so rather than use the remaining 4, I decided I would ask for a refund since the batteries that I bought were useless. I went back to the store and they told me they would be happy to help, but were bound by corporate rules. They gave me a phone number to call, and said customer service would offer me a resolution. I called the number, and they told me they couldn't help because the store was a franchise, and therefore any decisions like this would be made by the owner. They said they would reach out to the owner and get back to me. Today customer service called me back and told there was nothing to be done because some of the batteries had been used. This is nonsense. A store should stand by its product. If I had bought these same batteries on Amazon (for much cheaper), they would have instantly refunded my money. So I wasted $30, and I'm not happy about it. However, the whole reason I'm writing this review is that the customer service rep. told me that a manager named Brandon had told them that after I visited the store, I proceeded stand in front of the store for half an hour telling customers not to buy from Batteries + Bulbs. This most definitely did not hapoen. As if I have the time or the energy to do something like that. I'm also not a child. I am quite certain Brandon fabricated this lie to gain support from customer service to not refund my money. I will not be visiting this store again and highly recommend all...
Read moreTook my 2019 Toyota Corolla keyfob here to be programmed. In my first visit to the store, I left my key with one of the employees to be cut and programmed. The employee told me that it would take about 30 min to cut and program the key and that he would give me a call when it was done. One hour had passed and the he never called. I showed up to the store and asked if he was done with the work, and he told me that he cut the key too much and that he couldn’t programa it. Then he told me that he would order a new key and that they would call me when the key arrived and that I wouldn’t have to pay for the key, he said it would take about a week to get the new key. Turns out that it took over 2 weeks for them to get the keys and they never called me to let me know if it had arrived, I was the one that called to find out what was going on. Once they finally had the key cut and programmed for me, they tried to charge me for the key and labor, so I had to remind them that they broke my key and that they told me that they wouldn’t charge me for a replacement. So they agreed to it. I wish I could give it a 4 or even a 5 star review, but unfortunately there are some things that need to be fixed for total customer...
