Sodalicious — Local services in Avondale

My family loves Sodalicious—we live in Surprise but regularly make the 40-minute drive out because it’s always been worth it. We’ve visited this Avondale location many times and never had an issue… until tonight.

I checked the website before leaving, which stated this location was open until 7 PM. We arrived well before 6pm then and waited in a very long drive-thru line for about 45 minutes. When I finally reached the window—literally right after the car in front of me was served—the staff refused to even acknowledge me. I knocked, I waited, I could clearly see someone working inside, and yet no one had the courtesy to come to the window or say they were closed. Nothing. Just ignored.

There was a paper taped to the window that said they were closing at 6 today—again, I was there before 6. If the hours have changed, the website needs to be updated. And even if they were closed and couldn’t make the drinks, a simple “Sorry, we’re closed” would’ve gone a long way.

I’m beyond frustrated. I wasted nearly two hours of my evening and ended up leaving empty-handed with a car full of disappointed kids.

I've been here way more than I should have since discovering this place. I keep meaning to order other drinks but instinctively end up getting the butterbrew because it's so good. The people I've told about it that have gotten around to trying it agree! I'm sure I'll try something else on the menu eventually, but for now, I'm hooked on the butterbrew. I’ve been here way too many times to count and each time it was a great experience. Recommend checking out their menu online it has more options to choose from like my absolute fav Black Forest (Dr.Pepper/chocolate syrup/cherry) 🤤. Everyone here is super nice and friendly.
