Charlesmead Pharmacy Inc — Local services in Baltimore

This is the cutest pharmacy I’ve ever seen! I had no idea an old fashioned pharmacy even existed. When I walked in I immediately thought of a soda pop shop which I’ve only seen in movies. I told the pharmacist I would bring my next date there! You can sit at the counter and order food, milkshakes, and snowballs.

I used to go to Walgreens for the convenience of the close location, but I will NEVER go back.

Not only because all corporate pharmacies are extremely understaffed and hire incompetent techs, or that patient care and empathy are non existent from the pharmacists, but now they can’t even fill my prescriptions!!

There is a major ADHD medication shortage going on for the last 5 months or so all over the US. But Charlesmead (and it’s sister store Towson Pharmacy Healthmart) have consistently come through with my medication when no where else had it.

They also COMMUNICATE with me and go above and beyond to make sure I have the smoothest experience possible, which is a blessing after the nightmare Walgreens has put me through. I’m switching all my prescriptions to this phenomenal pharmacy when I get my refills...

I am currently sick with pneumonia and can’t leave my apartment so I called Charlesmead earlier this morning and asked if there was any way they could deliver not only my prescription, but some cough medicine and cough drops. Kelly was so helpful with handling my payment and connecting me to the pharmacist working today. The pharmacist immediately said they would get my prescription and medicine ready and send it out asap. Not even hour later there was a knock at my door and the delivery man handed me my medicines. It is so heartwarming to know that not only were they able to help me in my current situation, but the pharmacist picked out the best cough medicine and the best cough drops that I needed and got everything to me so quickly. I recently moved to this area and came across the pharmacy during an trip into town and I am so glad I did. If I could give 6 stars I would. Hands down the best pharmacy in Baltimore and I should know. I unfortunately have some chronic conditions that mean I have to go to the pharmacy multiple times per month and I have tried many places. The staff at Charlesmead in all positions are up and down fabulous. The nicest people who treat you like a human being. These days that’s so rare. I hope Charlesmead sticks around...
