The place: Inside there’s a four-person and two two-person tables, a service counter, a single seater bathroom, and around the corner some comfy seating (couch, comfy chairs). There’s lots of Excited Goat merch, think: t-shirts, mugs, stickers!
The location: Easy to find, spacious parking lot!
Food and drink: The Excited Goat has your standard coffee shop drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, etc.) as well as special seasonal drinks. On this visit, I got a strawberry shortcake (with oat milk) which was a white chocolate mocha with strawberry syrup and delicious pastry crumbs. I usually expect white chocolate mochas to be too sweet for me, but this drink was a perfect balance between sweet, smooth, and caffeinated. Spousifer got the boujee matcha which was an iced matcha with pistachio and it was, “phenomenal.” :) Spousifer and I split a PBJ cinnamon roll and a maple nut cinnamon roll. Both rolls were gorgeous pastry, light and flakey. Definitely fresh. The toppings on the PBJ were peanut butter frosting and a strawberry drizzle. The maple nut was…well, maple frosting and nuts. Both rolls were generously sized and the toppings balanced well with the pastry.
The service: The human who provided our drinks and breakfast was an utter delight. They were welcoming and knowledgeable (about pastries and people!). They were fun to talk to and we riffed about Google reviewers who may need a hobby.
Next time: I just need to work down that seasonal menu...

As for pistachio, it’s not the Starbucks flavor (I love that one, too, but different flavors), but tastes like a real pistachio! My new favorite (pistachio + brown sugar frappe with oatmilk).
This time, I added whipped cream. It’s a $0.25 upcharge, but let me tell you, they aren’t skimpy (unlike Starbucks who in Bay City don’t know how to make a proper caramel crunch Frappuccino, which saddens my soul).
They give EXTRA, EXTRA whipped cream. A lot already was eaten before I could take the picture (darn mouth couldn’t stop).
Every drink ordered has been delicious! The blended drinks are a crowd favorite, but their iced and hot drinks are great, as well.
Their seasonal flavors are unique and so good! Our favorite so far is banana bread. We were apprehensive at first, but figured we’d try it. We are HOOKED and wish it was an all year thing. It is so good!!
Always friendly, quick service at both locations. Great atmosphere and fun decorations as well (especially their wall...
Read moreBeen coming here once a week since early February. The tall guy with glasses, goatee, and baseball cap makes unironically the best iced lattes I’ve ever had. And they’re that good every week.
My usual is an iced mocha, but come in now while they have their fall menu, because the Iced Pumpkin Roll is unbelievably yummy. (You can get a much larger size for just a dollar more.)
The atmosphere is unpretentious, super chill, and always quiet. I never have a problem getting a table or seat here where I can chill for an hour or two.
Honestly delicious coffee, a barista who cares, and a chill space to hang out. You could say that they’re...
