Poor quality suits, poor customer service. I rented a suit for my son. When the big day came and I took the suit out of the bag I noticed the shirt was ripped off under the arm. I had to sew it right on the spot! I then proceeded to examin the rest of the shirt and found another hole. I manually sew it also. It was an inconvenience as I also had to get ready to go to the event. I would assume everything should had been immaculate.They should inspect what they rent. Once we finished with the shirt we discovered the lining on the jacket was also ripped off. I didnt have time left for more sewing. I was just hoping he didnt have to take the jacket off. He wore the suit for no more than 3 hours. Thanks goodness as I was concerned something else would be wrong. When I brought it back to the store I let them know of all these. The girl graciously told me that "I did a good job sewing". The manager or owner told me I was all set and didnt even apologize for this, even though they both acknowledge this. He probably felt that if he did he had to refund some money, which is what should have been done as that was unacceptable, but just an apology would have gone long ways. I didn't need the money back. Henry’s let me return and pick out another dress without telling me on the phone there was a $50 restocking fee after I continued to spend money at their store by renting a tux for my boyfriend. I picked out another dress and brought it to my seamstress. My seamstress discovered the dress had previously been altered in multiple places. Then, my boyfriend got fitted for his suit, which was too small for him, but they said they didn’t have a sport coat , and he would basically have to suck it up and be uncomfortable until he could take the jacket off during the event. We went I the day before the wedding and got a bigger size. When I brought this to their attention, all the owner had to say was that they were not responsible for warning me that the bride may have a problem with a dress that is close to white. We had already gone to one other store and were hoping for something special here, but it didn’t live up to expectations. First off, Henry’s isn’t exactly a luxury place, which is fine, but it didn’t feel like the welcoming experience we were hoping for. I made a simple suggestion about maybe adding a slit to the dress, and a stylist immediately snapped at me. When I went to another store, they said slits could be added to most dresses, so I was just trying to share that info. Instead of a helpful conversation, the stylist talked over me and was just rude the entire time. She contradicted herself constantly and made the whole dress-buying process very confusing. To top it off, the whole vibe was strange. They kept turning the lights on and off, and it felt like the staff was more focused on letting people rummage through dresses than actually helping us find the right one.
