If you're in the mood for some solidly good pub fare, then Paddy Murphys is the place for you. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon hoping to sit outside, but opted for a table inside by the window instead since that's what was available. The Irish pub vice is strong inside. Very nice. We started with the avocado fries. They were delicious .. crispy outside with a smooth creamy inside. For lunch, I had a delicious open- faced Reuben with sweet potato fries accompanied by a very well mixed Moscow Mule. My husband chose the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich with house fries and a Coors Light. He liked it but would probably choose something else next time. He wasn't blown away. But overall, it was a nice lunch. The service was a bit slow, but they were busier them usual according to the waitress. I would definitely go back and hope to sit outside. I saw a few burgers go by that looked good. There's a Hollandaise burger on the menu that I would like to try. Lisa Steele Author of The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook

Just had an outstanding lunch. Atmosphere was that of a traditional Irish pub from the moment you open the front door, the hardware of the door itself is gorgeous!! The wooden tables/booths, the floors, music and bar all on point. I had the soup of the day, Butternut Squash, delicious, hearty and flavorful, perfect for a crisp fall day. For my entree, I had the Bangers served with "champ" mashed potatoes, sauteed sauerkraut with diced apples and bacon and vegetables of the day, which was green beans. EVERY SINGLE BITE was delicious!!! Sweet, salty, savory. Comfort food at its best. My father and husband had the steak and cheese sandwich and the Guinees Beef Stew, both also so flavorful and delicious. The Guinness and Local Nonesure Red Ale were crisp and tasty. Cheers to the entire staff for the service and properly prepared food. Without a doubt, we will be back and I encourage anyone passing through or new to the area to stop in and enjoy as we did!!

This pub is the perfect definition of a fun, lively spot that makes you want to keep drinking and enjoying the night. The moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be a great time. Our server was incredibly friendly, helped us decide on portions, and gave us great insight into the food. The atmosphere was fantastic, with Irish music playing the whole time and decor that truly enhanced the experience. We were there for the vibe, and it did not disappoint! One of the highlights was the nightly events—they have something going on every night, even on weekdays. We happened to visit on karaoke night, which made the evening even more entertaining. This place came highly recommended by locals, and I can see why. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great pub experience in Bangor!

A tad bit disappointed... This looks like it could be a really fun, Irish Pub. The decor was a traditional Irish pub. The beer selection was good. The service was OK, but you could tell they were short staffed - the waiter was really nice but not attentive enough. The food Lacked the TLC needed in a place like this... we had their big pretzel, which was overcooked and lacked salt, so it was crunchy - not good - I had the patty melt with onion rings, which both were overcooked. Baby girl had a buger and fries, which the buger was over cooked, but the fries were perfect. The beer was delicious and cold. This place is worth a visit because it might have been an off day.

Came here on a recommendation atmosphere is what you'd expect from.and Irish pub many local beers to choose from the host is very friendly and vere aware of what his food should be like we started with the Irish soda bread and a cup of clam chowder, both where absolutely amazing the bread was served hot with a honey butter, chowder disappeared quickly. We then ordered the fish and chip which came out in a very good time. Fish was crispy and flakey while still being moist and tender inside while the fries and yes he'll ask if if you want fries or potato chips as chips, there fries where like a battered fries delicious. It's a definite come back for us

Was our first time visiting. We greeted with a huge smile and seated. Our server was great. We ordered fried pickles for our start (one had a LONG hair in the batter), my daughter had the Rattlesnake Pasta and I had the Grilled Romaine with grilled steak. Both the main dishes were very tasty and to our satisfaction, although I personally would have liked a touch more balsamic reduction on my salad. We did also order dessert to go, which the Phill cake was a disappointment due to how dry it was and the ice cream and toffee sauce could not help. The dessert pretzel was delicious!! We will go back again.
