I am shocked at the lack of professionalism from one of the sales advisors there. As of late, have started working for an advisor Valentino. He was incredibly kind, but has made quite a few mistakes. A couple of months ago, he sent my order (a belt bag) with a security tag still attached to it. I drove to the local Gucci store with my receipt in AZ and had it removed. I was there again a couple of times over the past two weeks. The first time, I purchased 2 bags, and my cousin purchased two bags. All shipped to an incorrect address. I called Valentino to ask that this be corrected. Three of the bags were, and one was sent to an address that I have access to, so I figured I would just go pick it up from the FedEx location after they attempted to deliver. Then the second time we were there, I was going to purchase a bag from their store but noticed a scratch. He told me he would get it from the store in San Francisco. He called me on Friday to tell me that the bag in San Francisco was damaged, so I told him he could send me the one in the store. On Sunday, he left me a message that the bag had sold. I called and text him several times on Monday, not concerned that the bag had sold, but rather concerned about the refund. He never responded. So, Monday, I text and called again asking about it. On that same day, FedEx tried to deliver the bag from the previous week’s purchase, and when I called FedEx to inquire about going to their location, they told me it was not allowed because the shipper required it to be delivered to that address and required contact signature. I am in meetings the next few days, so was unable to wait. I messaged Valentino because I wanted to see if they could update the shipping so that I could get it from a FedEx location. When he called me back, I was in the car with my friend that had visited the Gucci store with me. Valentino was very defensive in saying it was his day off. He proceeded to have a very frantic tone and seemed confused as to who he was talking to. He thought he was taking to my friend and was referring to me in the 3rd party. I explained that we needed a refund for the bag that was sold, and asked if they could update the shipping so I can get my bag from FedEx. He was not understanding, not sure if it’s due to a language barrier, but was hostile and proceeded to talk about me, saying that I am not his only customer, and he has a job too. I quickly corrected him, and explained that he was talking to me, and talking about me. He was still confusing the shipped bag vs the bag that was sold out. As he continued to raise his voice, I was shocked! The sales associate that had normally been kind was yelling at me. I was not going to go down a path that was less than professional, so I ended the call. He tried to call me again, so I declined the answer. I text him telling him I would figure it out. As if this was not over, he proceeds to call my friend, who is in the same car as me. Rather than telling him a refund will be issued in 3 to 5 days, he continued to talk about me. Not knowing I was in the car, he continued to insult me to my friend, tell him I was mad about the sold-out bag, and that he would never work with me because he does not work with individuals who are rude because he is a professional. Mind you, he is on the phone telling my friend these things, clearly, he is anything but professional. Now back to the sold-out bag, I have text messages for a few days telling him the sold-out bag was not an issue, that we needed a refund. I have worked in customer service my entire life, follow-up is always important on sales that you make, that is how you build relationships. Secondly, he was not understanding my main concern of the shipping. I called Gucci, and requested a call back from management, this still has not happened. I am in awe that this SA would talk to me in such a disrespectful way, for one, and in bigger awe, that he would still call my friend to speak negatively of me. This is adolescent behavior that you would never expect from a high-end...
Read more7/20/21. Huge! Twice the size of the San Francisco outlet mall Gucci store. Nagi helped me. She works real hard! They all do. 7/23/21: Some things I learned & for you to keep in mind: Gucci makes items specifically for their outlet stores, & there may be tell tale signs of direct to outlet items. Read online before you buy. Also: outlet items may use leftover materials, & not all hardware is stamped with Gucci. In addition: I called Gucci's 800#. They will not authenticate any item bought in their stores! They said your receipt is your proof, but on my receipt 🧾, it reads, luggage for my shoulder strap bag. Plus, the cashier kept the item's price tag! I did not notice until I flew home! So without the actual item's price tag to match with the receipt 🧾, I might not be able to prove that the bag is authentic. My bag was made directly for the outlet, & it was ONLY $200 less than similar bags in their regular boutique! I spoke with a Lead Client Advisor at Gucci SF. He looked up my item & verified it was made for the outlets. He said any sales person can look up an item & tell you, so ask if you're interested. Be very careful when shopping at Gucci's outlet. Make sure you keep the price tag for every item you buy & keep your receipt! It's not for returning it. It's to prove it's authentic if it should ever come up. Plus, ask the sales person if the item was made directly for the outlet or if it came from their main boutique. Inspect each item in the store better than I did with my new bag 🛍️. Live & learn! Then, don't make the same mistake I made. Know this: if your sales person tells you an item you like is the last 1, so you better buy it, demand to see 🙈👁️👁️ that on their little hand held device or the manager's device. They told me my imperfect $760 bag 🛍️ was the last 1, but on 7/23/21, a lead client advisor at Gucci SF told me they had 3 of the same bag at Cabazon! He said they probably received additional stock, but my bag was imperfect, so they wanted to get rid of it! Were there 3 of the same bags 🛍️ in the 🔙 room, but I was lied to, so they could offload the imperfect bag? I'll never know now! Don't make my same mistake. See 🙈 👁️👁️ the stock availability on their device! Do not trust what they tell you. They are there to sell, not to help you. You also have to decide AFTER you make them tell you if your item was made solely for their outlet stores if you want to pay, like my example: $760 for an imperfect bag that was only made for their outlet stores when you can pay $200 more for a similar bag at their regular boutique stores. I'll choose the latter from now on. This will involve more questioning on my part inside their outlets & looking online at their regular boutique online offerings while inside their outlet stores. Live & learn & pass on your 🛍️🛒 shopping...
Read moreI'm not sure where to start we usually go to Palm springs once a year we live in San Francisco my wife loves the Gucci store. but after this visit I'm not sure we'll ever go back to the Gucci store and here is why. my wife originally purchased a bag and we had to go back and exchange it a couple days later thank God we were in Palm springs we were close enough then we exchanged it for the bag that my wife wanted however the clerk never open the packaging never open the back to check it to make sure if it's damaged or not instead they put it in the Gucci bag that was sealed put it in the big shopping bag gave it to us so naturally we took the bag and flew home to San Francisco, my wife opened the bag and finally found out that the color was wrong color, she bought a black purse they gave her a gray purse. after contacting the Gucci store and talking to them for a couple of days they refuse to do the exchange by mail they said you have to come back in the store while we live in San Francisco that's a 8 hours away from Palm springs and we're not driving nor flying back,we paid $1,000 for this purse and this is how they treat their customers, I tried to call the store and lo and behold no one is picking up the phone but we made it worse the phone call would end by going to somebody's voicemail that was telling me that it's full and cannot accept any new messages I tried to call 15 times the same thing it keeps ringing nobody picks up and it goes to somebody's voicemail that kept telling me that it was full. I hope for someone to give me a call back so we can resolve this issue we will not be flying back to Palm springs just for a purse exchange it was $1,000 it was not cheap the policy needs to either change or someone needs to make an exception because we do live far away, I will be emailing Gucci and contacting headquarters about this dumb policy,...
