I've been to this place dozens of times and it's overall a pleasant place to be in. Though if you're a thrift shopper and someone who's been in the used video games market for 10 years, you could find some prices here are better left desired.
Usually DVDs here are $3 $6 a pop as well as Blu-Ray, depending on the movie or series. TV season sets typically go for $10 $14 which actually isn't that bad given how much they can go for anywhere else. You'll find a lot of other cool things like figures, pop funko figures, a few electronic devices, TVs, and more.
Video Game Consoles really do come and go with this place and I can't really fault that because the prices for them are arguably a steal. I've bought a PS3 slim from this place for $99 and a PS2 slim for $60. I've seen X-Box consoles go for $149, depending on model of course. So, you really do get a good value here for consoles.
Then we get to the games and here is where I start to find myself questioning the prices. I'm someone who's been dealing in the used video game market for years to know that I know a store is totally going off of EBay/Amazon/FB Marketplace listings than one that doesn't. Typically, a lot of X-Box/PS2/GameCube games will run about $10 a game, sometimes $5, sometimes $3. Then you'll run into games that go $30 and sometimes you'll find the obvious games that people fawn over for about $100 or just games you'll have a hard time justifying the purchase over.
It really depends on the game and when you do take the time to look up some actual listings on some games, you'll realize that some of them are a little overpriced than what they go for. I'd provide examples but honestly this review has been going on for a bit.
That's probably my ONLY problem with this store. Other than that, you'll get a lot of bang for your buck, the place is small but it's incredibly friendly and you'll sometimes find a thing or two to come out with. Support this small business, there isn't a lot like them anymore and in a time where we're dealing with scalpers, greedy resellers and other shady business people - this...
Read more9.5/10 - verdict: great employees, great atmosphere, great prices, great inventory, just a bit small.
First, the employees here are some great dudes. I see them fixing stuff on the job sometimes when I come to vermont, and these guys have some good skills fixing consoles, because whenever they sell broken for parts consoles, they are broken for parts consoles. Unless they can't get the part to revive it, they're probably functional.
Second, the atmosphere. Posters, art, decorations, shelves of games, this place looks cool. Effort was put into making it look good here. Great place to just hang out in if I worked there.
Third, the prices. They are the best prices ever. See them for yourself on their facebook page. They are excellent prices.
Fourth, the inventory. Like I said for the prices, check the facebook page they have. It's always updating when new stuff comes in like pokemon games, rare consoles, rare accessories, etc. They have new stuff in all the time, plus they can ship it if it's small enough to not cost too much for shipping.
Finally, my only criticism is the size of the place. They used it well for how big the place is, but some of the shelves feel too close to one another. That is my only criticism, because it's so hard to hate on a store so perfect that my only critique it that if they had more room, that they...
