China Town — Restaurant in Barre City

Just passed through Barre and dropped by for a quick bite before a 30 mile drive home. There were a few tables and chairs set up so we assumed eating in was welcomed. The dining area had a restroom which was labeled "closed due to Covid". I am a caregiver for a 80 year old gentleman with prostate issues. We had just gotten our food when he looked at me and said "I need a bathroom NOW." I asked where the nearest public restroom was and was told to try Cumberland Farms down the road. As I knew he would be in trouble long before we got there, I encouraged him to use the bathroom 8 feet away. Before he even got to the door the lady behind the counter rudely yelled at him and embarrassed him in front of several other customers. He walked out the door before leaving a puddle in the middle of the restaurant. I tossed our dinners in a take out bag and went in search of him. I found him on the street, very upset. It was a long, uncomfortable 30 mile ride home. If they're that concerned about Covid why not post a sign that says "take out only" and remove the tables and chairs so it is understood that customer comfort is not a concern here. We won't...

I had a long day of work and picked up food to bring home 40min drive. The food was $63 and I gave a generous tip. When I got home my dinner was not in the bag, even though it was on the receipt, and the white rice that was supposed to accomopny it was in the bag. I called and told them, and that I live too far away to drive back so asked for a refund on that portion of the bill.

The young woman acted clueless and then got the owner who screamed at me in Chinese. I repeated myself slowly multiple times but she continued to scream at me unintelligibly and then hung up. We tried calling back multiple times and they wouldn't answer. We called from my boyfriends phone and they picked up, but realizing it was us, hung up again. If you order food from here CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE LEAVING. They will treat you horribly if there is an issue like you are lying. So disrespectful. Also, you should not be in business if you are unwilling to have customer service to correct a mistake you make....

The staff is so unprofessional. A friend needed to order food and didn’t have a car . He called and just had a few questions.. he was very polite. The woman who answered was very rude and hung up. He called back and asked if she could just please answer a question and there was no reason to be rude about it. She handed the phone to a man who was also very rude and he said to get on the website or come in and he also hung up. We are local here but our friends are visiting. We are shocked.
