ALDI — Local services in Bartlett

Way better store than any other grocery store in my opinion. They are always nice, there brand of foods is amazing, brand name foods are really good prices, there employees are paid much better than other grocery stores. Also it can be crowded but never too stressful. Everyone is usually really kind and calm there isnt any chaos. Some people judge aldi a lot for stuff like needing a quarter to get a cart, which to me has never been an issue and if it is they will hand you one from the register, or more often someone will offer you there cart for free. Nobody leaves there cart just in the parking lot almost ever and if you dont feel like bringing it back then just give it to someone and be kind no one just leaves it or is ever just not able to get one. Plus when it comes to having to pay for there bags, first off while I do have both there material like bag and the plastic ones and like 20 of each. I also forget them a lot and nobody seems to understand or get the concept of getting an empty box from many items as that's how they are stocked also if there isnt one then get an item with one almost empty, put the remaining in the box behind it and use the box. Or just pay very little for bags that if you dont have cash for someone will offer to get them for you or most common offer some of there bags they brought. I've even seen employees pay themselves to help someone get them. Plus they are the best bags ever to reuse for all kinds of stuff especially the ones that aren't plastic. They are so sturdy that not one has ever torn or anything else. Neither have there plastic ones either to be fair though. Just dont expect them to have a stock of items in the back. They charge so little cause they only get small amounts of things to sell to people and for the most part once something is gone it's gone. And sometimes that means that they wont be carrying it again ever. People will get upset sometimes with employees that they are always out of this or that. Well it shouldn't be expected to have anything you get again. Knowing they dont keep any kind of extra stock of stuff, or that all items are only there until they sell out what they originally got in will save you a lot of headache. Also they do tell you this in the paper, ads, online, and on stickers and signs through the store. The employees are usually kind when handling it and will still gladly look just in case it happens to not be out just yet or they didnt have enough room to put out all at that time. But most often they do not have anything I've heard people ask for in the back. They do have wonderful covid practices that were there well before covid. So plastic barrier at checkouts, plenty of hand sanitizer and wipes to use, they now all wear very protective masks. Also they do offer to bring you your items to your car after you place an order online etc. Parking is very convenient and easy, also great location right where across the street they have Walgreens, Cvs, dollar general, kroger, etc. I know when they originally opened my family and most people never went or heard of them. Over time more and more people and my family as well tried it and it definitely was welcomed at a time when ONLY kroger was around that sold good and a large variety of food. Which meant they increased prices so badly that at one point everyone was tired of it. So disappointed with this store. I usually do curbside pickup after ordering online. A week ago I ordered online pulled into the curbside parking space checked in. Waited about 15 minutes noone came out to bring my paid for groceries. I went in the store and was told there had been issues with the online system so noone knew I was waiting to pick up. Today I ordered online again, received an email receipt stating all 16 items were found & my card was authorized $70. I received no text but when I got to the store I went in to pick up my groceries. I was told they had no pickup for me. The young lady or man never bothered to check their system & ignored the email I was trying to show them. I will never shop here again & I cancelled my online order. They have some new lazy, unprofessional workers & the customer service has gone down tremendously. Will make a complaint...

Found what I needed . Store was clean , staff little stand offish. They were polite but didnt seem to be very friendly . As in dont talk to me. I stood and waited as one worker straightened the shelves to finish so I could get the needed item off the shelf . I made a conversational comment - being nice and speaking , made a comment about the size of a pkg of beans (4 lbs) and the worker never spoke , kept straightening . That was my second attempt to speak to the person while I waited trying to spread positivity only to be looked at once and ignored . But , my purpose wasn't to make new friends , it was to retrieve groceries which I did. Love the savings so I will be back I just know I'm on my own if I should be looking for an item as employee assistance is not so much . They could use customer courtesy inservices.
