Let me start by saying, I have been with Verizon Wireless for over 15 years. 10 years on my current account and 5 prior on a comp account (I worked for Best Buy Mobile). I have had prior dealings with Cellular Sales and have always been happy, until now. Looking to switch back to iPhone and get the latest Apple watch and owing nothing on my current device I walked into the Bartow store and met with Christina. All seemed well, she said with the cash I had down towards the watch (I wanted to buy it outright) my bill would only go up $20 a month to $181 which included $1,000 trade in allowance for my old Samsung Note 20 Ultra to which I agreed. I even received an email from Verizon while there outlining my next bill and what subsequent bills would be ($181). She advised I had 30 days to bring my trade in back as some of my financial apps were still sending 2FA notifications to my old phone, seeing a it was nearing closing time I elected to take it home to resolve the 2FA issues and bring it back the next day. Two hours after arriving home I receive another email from Verizon with a new outline of my next bill. Now its $271 and $248 a month thereafter! I went back the next day livid and advised Christina this is NOT what we agreed to. She made a bunch of "adjustments" and said it would be 24 hours before they take effect and she can then straighten things out. I also turned in my trade in phone. She stated that was off the next two days but on Thursday would be at another store. I called the Bartow store first thing Thursday morning and request that someone have Christina call me back. Come 5pm and hearing nothing, I went back to the store. This time I met with Rex who assured me the matter would be resolved. Rex was very professional and very knowledgeable and seemed puzzled on why Christina set things up the way she did and ended up having to get a rep from Verizon on the phone who also seemed confused over what Christina did. Rex assured me all would be straightened out and even came back with a price $2 less than what I greed to originally while still offering the services I wanted however, stated it could take 1 to 2 billing cycles to see the corrections. Meanwhile, the account still shows a $100 trade in allowance, the cheaper insurance coverage. Luckily I have 30 days to return everything. If this is not resolved, by day 29 I will return everything to the store, pay off the $400 I owe on the device for my second line then will go across the street to AT&T and see what they can do for me. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE. I feel I was misled and deceived. As mentioned, I have purchased from Cellular Sales multiple times and never had an issue prior to this. Being a Verizon store, you would think they would be able to resolve their mistakes in a timely manner not causing added grief for customers. If you do insist on dealing with this company, do yourself a favor and avoid Christina...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have long been a Verizon wireless customer and reside in the Tampa Bay Area. I have about 8 lines. Today I went to the Florida Home Show at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. One of the representative, Mr. Contreras, who is a wireless sales consultant at the Barstow, Fl. store, checked our account and said that he could upgrade my grandson's iPhone to the iPhone 14 on a trade for $2.+? per month, or a one time payment of slightly less than $200 as part of the Home Show Special Event. We telephoned our grandson and confirmed that he would like us to do so, and we told him to expect the iPhone to arrive in a couple of days. We got all the way through the process, including picking out the iPhone color, having the glass protector put on, when we were then told that it would not just be the aforementioned charge, but we would have to upgrade the line for $10.00 per month, for 36 months, or a total additional fee of $360 more than was quoted to us. Of course, we didn't proceed, feeling bad that we had already told our grandson about his "new iPhone." Mr. Contreras said that it was just his human error, and maybe that is the case, but Verizon should not send representative to a show who doesn't understand the product sale they are pushing, or perhaps he though we would just swallow the extra charges...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCellular Cells/ Verizon had booth at festival I asked why my new phone would not get reception in my house Corey Emanuel Jr. said probably speaker broke but if you pay off your phone I can give you a Free upgrade plus a free hot spot. Also said the deal would lower my bill. I gave them my new phone plus 428.37. Turns out the free upgrade also did not get reception in my house and my phone I turned in the speaker was not broken it was Verizons reception all along. I got a huge phone bill, called immediately to see why. They stated I was paying for my new phone, plus the hot spot device, plus hot spot service that Corey said was free. I worked since March trying to get them to correct my account and make good on the promotion.. False Promise after false promise, I finally gave up went to another carrier and now get great reception. Cellular Sales/Verizon basically took my perfectly good paid in full phone and now I also have to pay in full for there upgrade phone. After months of false promises to correct the situation and even filled a formal appeal they will not honor the deal or compensate me for my phone they took. Verizon blames Cellular Sales and Cellular Sales blames Verizon. Please beware of the unethical...
