El Ranchito Jalisco — Restaurant in Bartow

I come by this restaurant every time I am in bartow. It has always been good. We order a lot of food and the service is always good and their chips and salsa and Salsa Verde is very good. I was very disappointed with the service today. I ordered the "dinner fajita special" and it was not the dinner size number one, number two it was literally all onions 3 shrimp and a few pieces of chicken that looked and tasted old.Of course the beans rice lettuce and guacamole was a big beautiful plate but the fajitas honestly were unacceptable. I explained to my server nicely the issue and her reasoning for this was not valid nor did it make any sense. I understand she didn't cook it but she should had my food corrected as I'm sure she eats out places and wouldn't appreciate her meal being presented to her this way either. Their was also a gray curly hair my daughter pulled out of her salsa cup. We spend our hard earned money in their place that in turn supports their business and our food should equivalent the price they charge and also be of good quality and proportion. The frustrating part of the visit was, the people infront of us ordered the dinner fajitas and they had literally a mountain of chicken and steak and shrimp it looked amazing. I don't understand why our service wasn't the same and we got an overpriced bill no correction no apologies, nothing. It honestly was very hurtful as we visit frequently and never had any issues. I'm sure it will not effect the restaurant to lose me as a customer as I was a restaurant manager once upon a time and know many people with be in and out due to the location of businesses surrounding the restaurant. I however will definitely will not be returning with my family or recommending because of (not only my food not being acceptable) but the lack of acknowledgement and correction on the servers part. To the owner: I hope you and your staff take my review into consideration as I would never be rude or unkind but this was simply unacceptable and unfair to me and my family and I hope you can be mindful of how your food is being handled, presented and give people what they paid for. Me and my fiance absolutely love going out to El Ranchito to eat dinner or lunch they're so kind nice and sweet the waitresses and waiters their well-mannered they know what they're doing their quick and accurate and they're always aiming to keep the customers satisfied and pleased as well as a system with answering any question or questions that the customers might or may ask. Hands down El Ranchito is a five-star Mexican Cuisine Restaurant their their food is amazing and spectacular not over flavored not under flavored it's got the perfect flavor seasoning your drain Inc is always refilled so you won't at any given point in time while you're eating at the restaurant or at the restaurant will you be thirsty or go Thursday because you will always have a full cup of whatever you're drinking. And there are salsa and chips is amazing it's not spicy but it's not under spicy is just right to where you can enjoy it and need as much of it as you can or want to and not be complaining about it being spicy to the point where anyone would be complaining or even complain about their mouth being on fire due to the salsa dip being too spicy. But all in all El Ranchito owner and the staff at El Ranchito keep up the good work in behalf of Jose Luis Martinez and Ellen Michelle Martinez we love your new restaurant wheel of your staff you are amazing wonderful people treat us like family as well as we've seen and always noticed that the staff and the owners treat all their customers as if they were family we will be going back to eat lunch or dinner really soon see you...

Let me start off by saving my family owns a restaurant and I would never want to speak badly about one. However in this case I feel like something needs to be said. My family came in to eat lunch and when we were served our food, two out of the four plates had black hair in them. No one had even taken a bite when we noticed this. Being courteous we quietly took them to the back to our server to show her and let her know. We also asked for the check for our drinks so we could just pay and leave because we no longer had an appetite. While waiting for the check someone who I can only assume was a manager or owner, came out rude and aggressive held another piece of hair (not the black ones we had in our food) but another long piece of hair and demanded that hair was not theirs. As he is doing this he's holding it over the table of other food we had. That hair was also not ours! There was no apology or conversation about what had happened just terrible customer service.
