I'm going to be 100% honest here. I've come to this place TONS of times now. It's a 2 hour drive for me to get here. I've recommended several friends to this store (and STILL will even though I had this very negative experience). I've even made a few sales FOR the store by contacting friends about items that were in the store. But a specific employee rubbed me the wrong way 2 days ago. His name is Andy. This individual literally intervened in a friend of Mike's transaction in the most negative sense. My friend was going to purchase 2 slabs that were priced by the store. When he was about to swipe his card to purchase these items, Andy, intervened and took the slabs away. He brought them to the office and claimed all the slabs were "wrongfully priced" and went on to BLAME (in front of the customers) his fellow coworker. This was very unprofessional in nature and extremely disrespectful. To put ALL the blame one one single employee seemed more to me like TARGETING. But he raised the price astronomically to the point my friend chose not to make a purchase. (He is new to pokemon. Like 3 weeks into it. So this was a bad experience for him) But after this altercation happen and this upset the employee that got blamed and my friend this SAME individual contacted another person in the store who the employee originally said they were NOT interested in this man's bulk. I then asked the employee if they allowed us to trade in the store ( not wanting to disrespect the store rules). He then told me "Your good. Especially if we aren't buying it." So as I waited to trade with the customer ( some very old and damaged and warped YUGIOH cards)....ANDY steps in and takes the entire box of cards into the office and claims they're now interested in them. Just so I couldn't get them. Again, this was extremely unprofessional and highly disrespectful. I got the customer's information and they contacted me yesterday and told me that he was COMPLETELY unhappy with the offer on his cards and did NOT do a deal. So, this was a very negative experience. I don't know who this ANDY guy is, but if he continues to act in thia manner I think thia will cause the store to lose a LOT of business just on his actions alone. I do feel like this employee needs to be chastised for...
Read moreAs someone who regularly frequent card shops, this one is definitely nice. It took me a bit to get acclimated to it, when moving over from my old shop. Definitely going to keep going. A vast majority of the staff are nice as well as vary helpful. The magic the gathering communities very nice. As well as the Warhammer community. & Thay have a full snack room.
One vary interesting thing about GP is it's card system it all digitally cataloged, so why it may be less fun then searching through card boxes, it vary fast to see if they have what you looking for. Though When buying packs there standard price, though when buying singles thay can be abit over priced some time, as thay don't update everyday for all of the price drops or rises of mtg, but if you check tcg player yourself(as you should), it's rarely bad. I personally enjoy the convenience there digital system, and will buy cards from them again. Not to mention they have a very good selection of sleeves, from dragon shield to ultra pro.
On the Warhammer front, this shop definitely has the stock of models. As well as two (&now 3)large table I'll always set up for a game. They don't have the biggest selection of paints but they do have citadel. Personally I would enjoy seeing army painter, but it is what it is.
Now with my personal favorite table top RPGs. Thay do have a pretty good selection of books and miniatures, the miniatures mostly wiz kids models, & most of the d&d books if not all. There also pathfinder and a few others. Thay even have a small stock of maps and such.
Thay, care keyforge, Pokemon, & a pretty good selection of board games. As well as as dice, thay don't have are the prettiest dice, but the are a lot of good options, for sure.
Definitely a nice game shop. I highly recommend...

EDIT AS A RESPONSE TO OWNER: Local card shops are supposed to be for us, you are supposed to support the real players the only place we can go to not have to deal with scalpers and crazy high retail prices, all I can say is I hope the juice is worth the squeeze. youll never seen me again. you should not be going up on prices for a set that is going down in value and is going to be printed for the next 3 years. You should be ashamed of yourself. I went to chucks the next day and got a box have...
