Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

I like Jack in the box normally and decided to make a late night stop at this location on a road trip. We sat in line 45 minutes, 20 minutes of that was being locked into a drive thru line while the other 25 minutes was spent trying to help the window person to correct my order, multiple times. Before we even got to the window I watched him give the wrong food to three other cars.

When I ordered at the speaker I at first thought their speaker was broken because I could barely hear/understand what he was saying. I asked him if he could speak up, repeat himself etc, I repeated my order patiently back to him twice as he only somewhat repeated it incorrectly. Turns out he left his headset on as he began to talk to someone else and I guess he accidentally moved it in front of his mouth because suddenly I could hear him clearly.

I got to the window and he proceeded to hand me a meal in a box that wasn't mine and then as he looked confused I tried to tell him what I had in my order, he demonstrated he might not have good knowledge of the menu as he punched in my order in that moment, confusing meal numbers and sandwich names.(I only knew names and told him that, but he still kept opting back and forth inconsistently questioning.) Before this encounter he'd asked me four times what I had and then the fifth time took back my receipt looked it over for the final time. And then still gave me a wrong item.

My receipt says I was only there 5 minutes and honestly I wish I had been. When I finally got the correct order my food was barely warm, one of my items was a bacon ranch taco which they served to me as taco filling and ranch dressing at the bottom of the bag with a tortilla thrown in on top for good measure.

This was not money or time well spent, I will never go here again and I will actively encourage others not to. I've had good jack in the box,...

I've only gone a couple times...n i never go for food always shakes or Tea. But it seems like everytime i go they find some way to mess up my ice cream or tea n that's if they even have it. Nevertheless today my friend went and she got a bacon swiss hamburger n fries and a sweet tea with light ice. Sounds simple right....wrong! They gave her a unsweet tea, so she was like whatever not going to worry about it, then gets the food...the fries are cold and the hamburger is burned n did not have bacon. So of course we had already left? So we called back and spoke with a manager and told him the issues. N he asked her is she could turn around and come back. No sir, negative. You are located off one of the busy streets in Baton Rouge and it was 3 in the afternoon which mean there was no going back! So we told him it is to much of an hassle to come back and she wont be returning to get anything else from them because if you are willing to allow it to slide once you will do it again. So she requested a refund. And said she would try and come back on Sunday even to retrieve it. Manager say well to receive a refund it has to b done the same day. Well sir unless you are coming to stop and direct traffic and buy gas and ensure that i not in traffic when i leave then no i am not coming back today i can be back Sunday. The manger refuses to allow her a refund and we threw the food in the trash because it was uneatable. Needless to say we will never go back to Jack in...

So... My girlfriend and I went there after a night out. Let it be known, I've been to this location several times and never had a problem. Ever. In the past, I would've rated this place 3 or 4 stars but this past time, the disappointment was just too unforgiving. Upon arriving, there was a decent line. Nothing out of the ordinary. We get to the call box and it's broken with a sign over it saying to drive through (which wasn't clear). After sitting there for 30 MINUTES, we get up to the window and order. The very first thing I say is, "so what are y'all giving out for free because of this?" All they could do was laugh and said, "NOTHING." Really? Nothing? They explained that they have a sign up that says to drive on through and that its "not their fault" the call box isn't working. Wow... THEIR CALLBOX not working is not THEIR FAULT? THEIR as in Jack in the Box, obviously... So... The call box is not working and they have a sign up saying to drive on through. But wait... THERE IS ONLY ONE LANE! NO WAY AROUND! So EVERYONE is stuck there no matter what when a person orders at the window, and they can't give out SOMETHING free for the inconvenience? Pitiful... Like Jack in the Box is going to give them money for ever piece of food that they could've given out for free. Terrible customer service. I would've driven through if I could've and went to the BK across the street. Won't be bothering with these crap-shoots anymore. Take your...
