Alright. Aspiring archer here, and I'm not certain what my draw length is. What I do know, however, is that it's longer than your average 28". The best advice I've found on this is to go to a sporting goods store, draw an arrow on a bow, and measure where the draw stops on said arrow. Hell, you don't even need to draw tension, you can hold an arrow to your cheek and measure from the riser. I wouldve been fine with that. So I come to this place to get measured, only to be told that they don't do that. So now I'm confused. I mean, what am I supposed to do now? Buy whatever bow catches my fancy and hope for the best? I did that exactly once. The bow broke and I was out good money. I asked to speak to a manager because I was unsure that the kid who told me that was either unable to, or incapable of, fielding the ideas that I'm posing here. Lo and behold, the kid I dealt with is the manager of that section. Awesome. Thanks, Dunham's Sports. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
Quick Update I went down the way and across the street to Wal-Mart. They helped me with exactly what I needed. Good job, Dunham's. You just got beat at your own game by Wal-Mart. Seriously....
Read moreScott the store manager was the most unprofessional gentleman man I have ever tried to buy merchandise from! Had to wait for someone to come back to the firearm section, and when he actually did my phone rang, I said hold on one sec( it was my mother who has been having health problems)I'd like to tell her I can't talk right now. So in that same breath he replies well then I can't help you right now since I'm the only manager on the floor and proceeded to walk away. I replied I only wanna tell her I can't talk right now and I could get back to looking to purchase the merchandise I came in to shop for. But he was in such a rush it was to late he had already walked from behind the counter and proceeded to walk away. So I unstood that that was not who I wanted to be dealing with for my purchase and asked his name and told him I would be leaving a poor review on his unprofessional sales attitude, mind you right off the rip he tells me I can't answer any firearm questions as per "he is not a...
Read moreWish I could give less than 1 star. Worst customer service I have encountered in a long time. Sure I was in at 8:30 on a Saturday night, but pretty sure the store's posted hours were until 9PM. We were the only customers in the store and OBVIOUSLY looking for something in the shoe department. There were 3 employees standing 10 feet away playing with a mannequin as we walked up and down every row of shoes. No one greeted us, no one offered to help. This isn't a self service department. We took our money elsewhere and will continue to do so. Dick's is happy to help customers with items that Jack Pearls can't get. Oh and when we called to let the store manager know of the issue, she informed us that it was OUR responsibility to ask for help not...
