What a great experience. Over the years I have ordered flowers many times. I’ve ordered from just about every type and size of florist, from very large shops in large cities to the online suppliers and just about everywhere in between; and across the country for that matter... with that said, you just can’t beat an owner operated, local florist.

There’s just something special about an arrangement created out of the talent and passion of a an owner operator.

We ordered flowers for a birthday recently and had them delivered to the house.

The great experience started with placing our order. Not being a flower afficionado, I didn’t know what was in season and needed help with the beauty/size vs value balance. First, although this was my first order from this shop, I felt like I was talking to an old friend that was “going to take care of me”. I ended up just providing a budget to work within, they asked a few preference questions and I was off the phone very quickly.

The delivery time of the arrangement was as expected and the gentleman that delivered the flowers showed up in a clean, very nicely branded delivery van and he could not have been more genuinely friendly. Although he had a van FULL of flowers to deliver, he did not rush the delivery process and just “drop and run” the arrangement like many of the other commodity floral companies that sling as many arrangements as they can... He made us feel like he came to work today just to deliver our arrangement.

And then the arrangement. As with many kinds of fine art, the difference between “oh, yeah that’s interesting” and “where can I quickly hide and check my credit card/bank balance” is difficult to put into words but you know what you love when you see it... well, the visual balance of textures, colors and elevations were a masterful result of what I could only describe as passion in design. As a commercial creative myself, I can see something “forced” or just pieces together a mile away, this arrangement is, by the pure definition, beautiful.

Several days later, as we are still enjoying flowers that look as good as the day they were delivered, and as our home is filled with a chorus of amazing smells, I felt compelled to share my experience with those that take the time to read these reviews.

Terrible company. Tried to order my grandmother flowers in Washougal. As their website says they deliver to surrounding areas, although they don’t specifically list WHAT those areas are... Their phone number is within the same area code as my grandmothers, so I had no idea they supposedly “don’t deliver to washougal.” I placed my order Saturday for delivery on Saturday. No dice. The next day still nothing. No delivery and no other email but the confirmation email. So Monday I call to find out what happened, and this woman tells me they don’t even deliver to washougal, and tries to tell me I should’ve gotten a cancellation email and she has no idea why I didn’t receive one. So upon her telling me I now have to wait 3-5 business day’s for my money back... so we hang up, and 1 minute later I receive that cancellation notice. And the first sentence in the email says “as per my request” It’s shady that my supposed cancellation email didn’t arrive until after my irritating phone call wondering where my delivery was. And if you’re not going to deliver to “surrounding areas” that have the same area code, you need to be more specific about that!! What a waste of my time and money! Seriously bad...

I’ve been both the recipient and the orderer of flowers from Main Street Floral Company. The flowers I receive are always beautiful and arrive flawless, even after a 30 minute drive to get to our house.

I ordered Valentine’s Day flowers for our family. Because of a winter storm, I fully expected the delivery to be delayed. The very kind delivery driver chained up his vehicle at the bottom of our snow and ice covered hill to deliver the flowers. They were exactly what I ordered and incredibly beautiful. The process for ordering online is really simple with lots of options. I especially appreciate the various confirmation of purchase emails and the confirmation that the flowers were loaded into the delivery truck and on the way.
