Normally these days I try to stay at an Airbnb unless I am by myself like this trip. I was in town to attend an event and I was looking forward to a decent room to relax and rest in.| |I attempted to check in early but they first mentioned an extra $25 charge to check in an hour early and he was not the most friendly. I decided to head out to get things done and then came back in the evening to try again. The 2nd gentleman was much more friendly and the nice service was refreshing. I got checked in and went to my room, this was around 9pm by then. It started out mostly quiet.||As for the room, the room is quite large, larger than I expected it to be. It does have a bit of wear and tear to it, office chair with rips, lamp outlets not holding cords in, dim lighting etc. There is a large closet and a little coffee bar with sink when you enter and then a bathroom to the right. The room has a couch and another reading chair. There is also a jetted tub in the room that worked decent once you can get the button to depress, it sticks badly. I only sat on the couch for a few minutes, it seemed comfortable enough and I never turned the TV on so I cannot mention anything for the quality of the TV or cable provided. I do know it was a phillips and around a 42 inch I think. The room has lots of windows which also means tons of outside noise, the room is right on the main street so hot rods all night and kids racing up and down the road. There is also a microwave and a mini fridge on a cart near the wall AC unit. I think that's a strange place for it and it should be over near the little kitchenette area. The bed was fairly comfortable but the tiny pillows were a joke and the bedding was very rough especially the waffle type blanket. ||As for the bathroom, I absolutely hated the lighting in there and I know many ladies especially those who will want to use it to get ready will also hate this bathroom. The ONLY lighting is from the mirror which gives off a weak glow overall, you cannot adjust the brightness either. Get in the shower and even darker, good luck for those who want to shave in the dark. The water pressure in the shower was okay, a new shower head would be a good idea, removable would be even better. The toilet is a small one that sits close to the ground, I figure I will mention that for those who have mobility issues. There is no heating of any type for the bathroom except for your shower steam. The room heater struggles to keep the entire room at a consistent comfortable temp and the bathroom is the furthest away.||For the prices charged these days I was very disappointed in the stay. Most of the time in the last couple of years I choose Airbnb over hotels, a lot of times cheaper, better amenities and just so much more comfortable. I only stayed here because it was less than 2 miles to where I needed to be during the weekend and I was only in the room mostly to sleep when it was actually quiet enough to be able to sleep. This is an extremely loud location with the cars and add in the other guest who slam doors all night and early morning.... It is not hard to shut a door softly at 3am, or 4, or 5 or all night long. ||This is NOT a hotel I would stay at again though, value and comfort is not there. Best westerns just do not seem to be nearly as decent as when I was much younger. The last 3 stays has made me decide not to use Best Western at all going forward no matter...

Read moreI was pretty disappointed in our stay here. Sit back, this might be a long one. I called 24 hours in advanced because I no longer needed to have 2 queen beds, and wanted a king...They were, unfortunately full. Although when we finally got there, it didn't seem like anyone was staying there..This brings me to, the pool was broken. We resevered 3 rooms, all with kids..The only reason why we booked here was for that reason. They don't have a matenince person to fix said pool so we got to do without it..No discount, no telling when I called...or else I would have cancelled my reservation in the time frame needed..They also said the hot tub was still working, nope cold. Needed to be fixed as well. Disapointing. Next, the beds are TERRIBLE I barley slept the 2 nights we were there, I was tossing and turning on the hard bed. The A/C heating unit rarley ever kicked on, and we kept turning it down to get it to stay on because the place has such funky smells running through it and very musty, eventually we had just decided to keep the window open. There was only a sheet, and a very thin blanket on the bed...No comforter, that's it..Its basically like sleeping with 2 sheets. The bath does not have a curved back, so you can't lean back comfortably..That was my only go to after a broken hot tub and it still wasn't good! Also, pictures make it look bigger than it really is. Bottom level is only lobby and pool room. The two upper floors are where the rooms are. The walls are paper thin. I could hear our neighbors talking when we were going to sleep, and people walking above all night. Our family members stayed in the room directly above us, and it wasn't them. We got a complaint call right at 10 PM saying we were banging on walls, while my sister was trying to make the roll away bed. They cleaned our room when we had the do not disturb sign on the door..The worker who was there most of the time for the front desk was very friendly, but every time we asked for a discount or to speak to the manager she said "I have to call the owner" would not contact them in front of us, and always said he was busy. We definitely got pushed under the rug. The 2 stars are for the breakfast because that was the only thing we could enjoy...and the coffee isn't very good, but really what motel coffee is..Also, for there only being 2 floors, the elevator is VERY slow..Plus if you tried to take some of the stairs, they just go directly outside because the rest of the building underneath is, businesses...We had to walk around the building in the rain, because we didn't realize you couldn't get back in..I wouldn't be so disappointed if we didn't pay $110 a night...but we basically paid that for breakfast, and...
