Washington Lanes — Local services in Bay City

I came in at 9:30. I said I wanted to bowl for an hour and a half which is $8.50 each. Cashier says that he wants to be out by 10:30 tonight because he has his ride coming at that time, so he’s only having us bowl two games and that the “rates went up” so it’s $9.50 each. My friend and I finish our two games by 10:10. We then try to start another game. He explains that his ride is here so he needs to leave at 10:30 so we cannot bowl another game unless we want to pay $3 extra per person to start a game then leave by that time..... why would I pay $9.50 for two games, when I could pay $8.50 for 1hr 1/2. Even if i had to leave by 10:30 I could have gotten a 3rd game if I would have paid the $8.50. Thankful Rochelle the bar tender was there, I went and explained my frustration to her, and she was WONDERFUL! She had great manners and was very understanding of the situation. She apologized multiple times for the frustration and gave us our third game and said to stay as long as we like! Im very displeased we were being kicked out 30min before closing time and charged extra because an employee had his ride waiting on him. I will be coming back solely thanks to Rochelle being so great!!!!!...

Very upset with my visit today. I called today around noon to figure out what time open bowling was. A gentleman answered the phone and told me that it was $9.95 for a lane for an hour and a half and could hold up to six people and then the additional price of $2.50 a shoe, until 8pm then the price went up to $12.95. I said great and planned a nice evening with family figuring $20 would cover the night. When I arrived there at 6:30 I was told that it was $12.95 a person plus shoe rental. I was very upset and asked to talk to a supervisor who told me that there was no one there who would tell me that and that I was lying. This obviously upset me very much! He then disappeared to a lane and continued his game on one of the lanes with friends. I don't appreciate the accusation and was told that instead of it costing me $20 it was going to cost me $78. The supervisor was very rude and really hope something happens to address the issue and how he responded to me. No one deserves to be called a liar especially when I had the information written on my hand from the called I made earlier in...

This was not a good experience. I would like to start out that the staff did try to make it better, and they were busy. We put our number down on the wait list. We were told it would be a 30 - 45 minute wait. After 70 minutes, we checked and were next up. Then another 30 minutes went by, and we checked again. They couldn't decider one of the numbers. Not really their fault. I would recommend having the person write down the numbers, though. We got our shoes taken off for the complication. Thank you. We get asigned to a lane that has no seating because of the group next to us. So we asked for a different one. Then we placed a food order. After an hour and a half we asked the kitchen about our order and they lost our ticket. We canceled everything but the pizza. They did comp a burger. Our lane stopped working 3 times while playing. Which was just a cherry on top. It was as if anything that could go wrong did go wrong. There are definitely some changes this place needs to make in order for things to run more smoothly.
