09/19/2020 I have to change my rating from 4 stars to 2 stars because of an employee by the name of Linda in your framing department. I went into your store looking for a frame when I noticed you have custom framing on sale. So I decided to get a quote. Linda was the employee who helped me. If that is what you call helping me. I felt she was condescending when speaking to me about how I wished my item to be framed, but I decided to go ahead and get the framing started. I also got a second quote for another item that I wanted to bring back later in the week before the sale ended.
The next day I decided to take the second item to get framed as well when I walked into the department I seen that Linda was working and I was disappointed to see her. I was hoping that another employee would be there to help me, but as she walked by me I said hello and she said hello and continue to walk on by. She walked to the employee area so I asked another employee if they could help me, and they told me they would get the person who works in this department. The employee came back and said the person is on lunch and I would have to wait until she is finished. This was 10:45am in the morning so I decided to give up on the second frame and just wait for my first item to be completed.
I got a call this morning that my frame was ready for pickup. So I came in to get my frame. The first thing I noticed there was a outward bow on both sides of the frame. Linda insisted that it was an illusion and that it must me the way my eyes are picking it up because it wasn't on a wall. So I asked if she had a tape measure. She went to get one, and refused to let me measure the frame myself, but she said there was an 1/16 of an inch off from the middle to the top and bottom of the frame. I believe it was more than a 1/16 of a inch for me to pick it up when I first seen it.
So I stated I wanted it to be completed correctly. She insisted that if I didn't take it that I would have to wait 2 weeks to get it back. I didn't care I wanted it done correctly but I was annoyed that she was trying to push this shoddy work on me. So I refused to take it and spoke with a manager about Linda's attitude towards me, and my disappointment with the frame I had completed.
I have no idea what I did to Linda, but it is clear on three occasions she made me feel unwelcomed as though she was too good to service me as a customer of Michael's. I will continue to shop there but as long as she is in the framing department I will refused to every have another frame done at this location again.

Read moreGiving 3 stars because Zoe’s customer service was top notch… however the manager Arianna or Adrianna lacked basic customer service skills and was intentionally rude after store associates messed up my in store pick up order. I ordered ten 11ounce mugs for sublimation in the color white for pick up. The order was fulfilled in a matter of 30 minutes, which was great. Or so I thought. When I received notification to pick my order up, I headed to this location and was handed a bag of silver glitter mugs. I was told well you can cancel the order if it’s not what you expected. Kai, the rudest person I’ve met in a michael’s literally told me we’ll just ask the manager for a refund. So I informed her that my order was incorrect. I showed her my michael’s app and she said idk talk to a manager. When the manager came over she acted confused about why I was upset. So stated very clearly, I ordered 10 white mugs and I have 10 glitter mugs. Her response was so just get a refund. I then informed Arianna or Adrianna that the proper response would be” so sorry your order was confused or messed up, all we can offer is a refund” instead of her rolling her eyes and telling me she doesn’t know what to tell me. Something told me to go and check the aisle for the white mugs, and also a store associate Zoe showed me where they were, she witnessed the entire altercation. She was very helpful and even apologized for the unpleasant attitude from her manager. I found all 10 mugs and proceeded to do an exchange with Kai, who did not assist me AT ALL. She watched me transfer the wrong glitter mugs out of the bag and put the white mugs in the shopping bag, I told her thank you so much for your help… despite not receiving her help, and with a disgusting rude attitude she replied have the day you deserve Miss Lydia. I plan to escalate this because I am a frequent shopper at Michaels and I’m also a mom of teenagers. Please retrain these young women so that they are better equipped to work in retail. Otherwise, they will encounter a customer that isn’t as nice as I was.

Read more[Update]: Changed my rating from a two star to a one star because I absolutely hate going to this place now. I walked in the other day because I was looking for something I could use for a craft making a wheelchair for my pet who is unable to walk. I politely said "can I bother you?" to a staff member. She groaned quite loudly and said, "What do you want?" When I asked for help, she was pretty rude to me and gave me an answer that was not helpful at all. I'm not sorry you hate your job, and it's not my fault you do. I was extraordinarily polite to you because you were working. But I am a customer, and your prime way of making money in a business is helping customers. Don't be rude to me for wanting to patronize your establishment. I only come here because there's no other craft option in my town. I will literally pay a toll to leave Bayonne to go elsewhere than ever...
