I had a distasteful experience with Quality Computers, a misnomer at the least. I was dunned, called on the phone and threatened with collection for not paying my bill. Not only had I paid my bill, I paid by check, at the time I picked up my computer and told them to recheck their records - not only did "she" refuse to check her records but said I would be turned over for collection if I didn't prove it. It was offensive, insulting and moreover, inept administrative practice, loosing me as a customer. I proved I had paid by check, no apology forthcoming from Quality Computer and I have since recommended against this business - maybe they've changed since my experience, maybe. They've done nothing to regain my trust or business.
I read the owner's reply posted 2-4-19 and he\she appears to have missed the point; whether I paid by check or credit card, their treatment of me, their customer, was inept, unskilled and offensive - threatening collection? No apology? And, Mr.\Ms. owner, were you truly sorry, someone would have tried to make amends which they did not, have not; this experience show simply bad business policy and practices. I had an issue with my printer, the service tech came out to my residence to service the printer, but wasn't able to and had to take it into the shop instead. So a week went by and no word. I called and the receptionist told me I would receive a call. No call no communication. The next week I called and was told my printer was fixed. I get it home and the same issue. I finally talked to the tech (Great Guy) couldn't remember his name but he explained the issue with my printer and I understood. Now I requested a refund or reverse charge to my card due to it not being repairable. I figured it would be and easy solution, but I ended up calling every other day for my money to be returned. The receptionist was constantly telling me someone would call me and it never happened.I had to wait almost a whole month for my money return and had to contact my bank to handle what should've been an easy fix. Read moreI discovered my PC hard drive was out of space. I knew if I went to Best Buy the geek squad would take forever to upgrade my computer and charge me a fortune. So instead I shipped it by UPS to Quality Computer Services from my winter home in Phoenix Arizona. Their techie Tony Palletti was able to add a ton of storage to the hard drive and ship it back to me within days. More importantly after seven hours of work with Dropbox they were not able to retrieve the 4000 files they had deleted. My business depended on getting that Dropbox correctly reinstalled. Tony was able to do this in minutes. There's no better techies on the planet the that Can beat these highly competent professionals.. Don't waste your time at Best Buy Geek Squad or any other repair shop. They are world-class and can do just about anything you need done remotely.
